While not on Disney property, it may be part of our Disney planning this year. Couple questions for those that have gone...

1) How far away is it?
2) Any recommendations of tours or tickets?
3) Thinking of doing lunch w/an Astronaut...has anyone done this?

We're not going on a day w/a launch, it's been years since I've been there & DH has never. We're thinking maybe taking the neice & nephew but not sure if that's too much for a 5 & 7 year old???

Any input would be appreciated!
Thanks

We went in December to Kennedy... took us about 90 minutes to drive between Disney and Kennedy. We enjoyed the space shuttle ride they had and looking at the rockets (there was a tour that we happened to join).
The kids enjoyed the "comedy" show and our youngest got picked to join the show.

We checked the website and noticed they were doing a "secret" launch of a rocket that day, and that was the special highlight.

The astronaut hall of fame (outside kennedy) was also interesting - it was where we watched the rocket launch.

I don't think it would be too much for the kids. There is a great area with models of all the old capsules that you can climb in and things geered towards keeping kids interested. There is a lot to do there!
