I just read this and thought immediately of kimntrent's husband, who is out there fighting the fires in California.

Kim, I hope everything is okay with your husband and his crew, you guys are in my thoughts frequently!

My husband is a firefighter too, although thankfully he's a Captain and doesn't do wildland fires. We have quite a few of our crew over there, though.

I feel so sorry for those firefighters families. :( It's always a worry when your loved one is doing something that's so unpredictable and dangerous. I can't imagine getting that call. :(

I hope that Kim posts soon. I'm getting worried. :(

I hope everything is okay with Kim and that her husband is okay. I hate hearing stuff like that. We have several firefighters in our family and it just unnerves me when they get hurt. Keeping all those firefighters in my prayers today.

My hubby is fine. He is actually on station coverage here in town covering engines that have gone up to the fire. Some inside information though, one of his best friends flies the same helicopter but was getting ready to get off for two day so he didn't go up. The helicopter was actually from Moffit Field in San Jose, CA. 4 of them are in critical condition not dead. And it happened when they wen't in for a sweep to get a water carrier thingie. If I hear anything else I will let you know.

Well that's a relief. I'm still saddened by the losses, but so glad your husband is safe!
