We leave in 2 days!!! Pre-tip report

We leave first thing Monday morning. I have never written a trip report before, but I am going to try one this time. Here is the pre-trip report.

The cast:

Me, Miranda
DH, His name is Sonny, but we call him Dee for the most part
DD, Taylor (just turned 3)
DSIS, Morgan - the crazy one who just got married
My mom, Ronda

My mom and sister should arrive at my house on Sunday night and we will all fly out on Monday morning at 7:05. We should arrive in Orlando by 8:35 a.m.

This will be the first time I have flown SouthWest, I am really hoping we all get to sit together on the plane, but it is only an hour and a half flight so it's not a huge deal.

After we land and pick up our rental car we will head over to our hotel. We are staying at Shades of Green (formally the Disney Inn). This resort is a great military perk, it is a deluxe room across from the Poly, but it costs less then value resorts and we don't pay any taxes. We can't check in until 3, but we will drop off our bags, pre-register, and buy our park tickets. We get the military discounted Stars and Stripes tickets (they are a park hopper with water parks and more option). You have to buy these tickets in person so we couldn't buy them in advance. After we get our tickets we will go ahead and head over to Epcot for awhile. We have an 8:00 ADR at Coral Reef.

Tuesday morning we have ADRs for Crystal Palace at 8:05 a.m. I am hoping to get some good pictures on an empty main street before we go in. We will spend the day in Magic Kingdom (maybe going back to the resort to rest for a little while). We have 7:00 p.m. reservations for Chef Mickey's. After Dinner Dee, Morgan and I are going to head over to Pleasure Island. My mom is going to watch Taylor. I have never been to Pleasure Island and feel I should go once before it closes down.

Wednesday: I had already made ADRs on the 180 day mark, my mom and sister decided to go with us like 10 days later. I was able to add them to many of the ADRs, but a few times I couldn't. Wednesday morning I had planned for DH, DD, and me to go to Tusker House for breakfast. 10 days later it was booked up so I made an ADR for 2 people at Rain Forest Cafe. Either DH and I will go there or my mom and my sister will, we can decide Wednesday morning. After breakfast we will spend the morning and early afternoon at AK.

Wednesday late afternoon we will head to DHS for our fantasmic dinner package. We have 4:30 ADRs for mom, Morgan, and Taylor at Mama Melrose and DH and I are going to the Brown Derby. If there are any fast passes left for TSM we will grab them before dinner (HAHAHA yeah right I know there will not be any). Hopefully we have time for a ride or two between dinner and Fantasmic.

Then back to Shades of Green to sleep.

Your plans sound great! Just so you know if you go to your ADR's and tell them two people joined you late sometimes they will accomodate you there. This happened to me last year, and they were able to accomodate us at all restaurants.

Thursday morning we are going to do EMHs at Magic Kingdom, we will will just grab breakfast at either the buffet (if the line is short) or the counter at our hotel.

We will stay until it starts to get crowded and then we will head for 1 of the water parks. I still haven't decided which one we want to go to.... anyone have a recomendation?

In the late afternoon we will head back to the room to rest for a little while and then get ready for dinner.

We have 6:00 ADRs for CRT. Taylor is very excited to eat at the castle and we will let her wear her Cinderella dress. This is another ADR I couldn't add mom and sis to (I knew I wouldn't be able to). They are going to eat counter service while DH, DD, and I eat at CRT.

We will watch Spectro Magic and Wishes after dinner.

Wow, I didn't think of that. For the most part I just made a seperate ADR for 2 people somewhere else. Which actually worked out well. Now DH and I can have a quiet dinner alone a few nights. DH was happy about that. He gets to get away from my mom for a little while, and eat somewhere he would have choosen instead of a character meal.

Friday morning we are going to sleep in a little later and then go to our 9:30 ADR at 1900 Park Fare. I don't have set plans for Friday during the day, we will decide which park to go to later this week. Probably back to DHS since we really won't be there too long before Fantasmic on Wednesday and I really want to try TSM.

Friday night is MNSSHP, YAY! I got some halloween t-shirts for the adults and DD is wearing a cute Minnie Mouse Pumpkin dress I got from DisneyShopping.com. It is real full and round at the waist with lots of orange and black and some pumpkins on it and it has minnie mouse ears in orange and black.

DH and I are eating at Kona Cafe at 5:30 while Mom, Sis, and DD eat at Liberty Tree Tavern. Then we will all meet up for MNSSHP.

We are having a late breakfast on Saturday morning and Ohana's. Then the day is sort of open to where ever we want to go again. DH wants to go to Disney Quest, so we may head over there for a little while and go shopping at DTD. We are going back to Ohana's for dinner Saturday night as well. I think we will probably hang out on the beach at the Poly and watch Wishes Saturday night.

Sunday morning we are having breakfast at the Shades of Green buffet (Didn't make an ADR anywhere because we thought we were leaving on Saturday-I had made a Saturday night ADR just in case, but not a Sunday morning one). Activities for Sunday are not yet planned. Our flight leaves at 3:50 so we have some time to do a little something, but we will play it by ear.

I am sooooooooooo excited! Thankfully it is only 1 more day away!

Can't wait to hear about your trip. We leave in less than 7 days and I am so excited. We will stay at POR for 7 days. Just joined SR two months ago. By this time next year hope to have enough SR to pay for our trip. :sunshine:

YAY for you! I wish I was going back.... can I sneak into your suitcase? I have started my trip report.... it is called our first disney world vacation, just in a seperate thread. It was great! Even better since it was totally paid for with money I made online!

Can' wait to read your trip report. I am getting so excited about our upcoming trip. This will be our 5th trip for 2008. Our AP expire in November and we are getting our money's worth. :rotfl:
