pending credits

I have no complaints, but am trying to understand the logic behind pending credits. I completely understand why paid trials/memberships need to be pending due to early cancelations etc. But what about the AS SEEN ON TV offers? You order and item, it is paid for and received, why do some still pend for 30 days? Are they just worried about returns?

Actually the hold on most everything is to ensure that SR gets their money and the advertisers don't revoke credit for fraud. If someone does the ASOT and does something fraudulent (as defined by the advertiser not SR) then the advertiser can revoke the credit with SR having no repurcussions. 30 days gives the advertisers time to take it back if they are going to. It also helps SR reduce fraud because people who are going to try to take advantage of the system are not going to want to wait for their credits. They will get the credits and then cash out and run. Usually SR will recieve the funds from the advertiser in that time period.
