I just got this email from another site and saw some things I might be interested in...came back here and didn't see it....thought I'd ask. If I do end up joining, I'd much rather do it through here.

Oh, I am so excited!!! I have already joined. Got North and South, complete set, for my mom (for Christmas) and Season 1 of something I can't mention because it is a Christmas present for a friend. I still have hopes she is going to finally join. Don't want her reading about it on the forum.

Saw more for more gifts and ME, won't be hard to fill my obligation. First purchase is Quantum Leap, for me and DD12. My sis got season 1 for me, last yr. We LOVE Scott Bakula.

Gotta go and set up a spreadsheet for Christmas shopping...

What is the obligation on this offer? I usually get people dvds for christmas but I'm not sure if I want to get sucked into something that has a big obligation knowing their prices aren't always the best just to get a $14 credit (which would be really nice though).

Okay, I have been looking at this closer...kind of freaked myself out. Anyway, the above is correct. I got my two sets for $19.95 minus $14 in credits, plus free shipping. That made them $5.95. The same on DeepDiscount is $89.25. So, hopefully, the ones I want won't be sky high. I will get my four and go from there.:sunshine2:

hmm ok. Is there anyway to look at their list of normal prices before signing up? I'm thinking that if it came down to it I'd just buy the rest of my friends dvds and will and grace if they aren't more than what I'd normally find at target or walmart.

No, I can't find a list. I hope I didn't screw up. But, I think I can find something for gifts, they offered quite alot of stuff, in their inital offering. Last year, I gave a lot of television dvds and they went over great.

Thanks! I know my brother is going to be asking for CSI, NCIS, or the Unit and BF will be asking for South Park, Simpsons, or Family guy so I know there are things to get I just want to price compare first. I might mosey over there in a bit and check things out. Work is a killing me today.

I just went and had a look, they also count movies for $19.99 as part of your commitment. Not a bad deal.

So you mean regular movies and not just TV? This sounds pretty good to me since we're buying the kids more and more of these TV sets for the car.

That's what the terms said, movies were included.

My mom and dad like Home Improvement (so do I) and Everbody loves Raymond. I did not see that on there. I might have signed up if it was there. They would have liked that for Christmas.

Maybe someone who is already a member would look those up for you? I wish they would list out more of what they have because I am curious about how large their selection list is and what prices they are charging and if its comperable to walmart/target

Is this offer considered separate from the regular columbia house movie club? I just want to make sure it isnt considered cheating before i decide to sign up. I joined the other one through SR a while ago.
