Can someone explain CSI to me? Maybe I don't watch closely enough because I'm always on the computer. But I am confused after tonight.

I get that this crazy lady was in foster care. And Grissom was responsible for her "dad" getting killed. But was she the one killing all of those people from the beginning? And if so, why? Just because she was twisted and evil? Or was there a reason that tied them all together?
