I've been on Sunshine Rewards since Feb 06, but - have only recently joined the forum.

It is exactly a 1 hour drive from our driveway to the purple signs at WDW. We definitely get a lot of use out of our annual passes! We also bought 2-yr Universal Studios annual passes at Costco this year and while we like it a lot - especially The Mummy Ride & ET ride - our hearts belong to Disney. If you are ever considering visiting Universal during one of your Disney trips - try to get a room at one of their onsite resorts. They offer all kinds of discounts year round - especially if you are willing to take the "room with a partially blocked view":rotfl: It is worth it to get the unlimited "express pass" for the rides.

By the way - tonight was probably not a good night at the parks - we have had non-stop lightening/thunder/rain for the past 6 hours tonight!

Feel free to ask me questions about any of the parks (except the water parks - we don't go to those) and I'll answer what I can. We are there almost every weekend. Ohhhh! I've seen the updated Haunted Mansion!! It's WaYY CooL!!

Hello, and welcome from another florida resident. We live about 1 1/2 hrs from Disney. We love Universal though. I really want to do the Halloween there this year. We have Busch Garden season passes, but we are thinking when those expire to do the Universal ones. We are trying to get Universal onboard with us also, but they don't have gift cards yet except through a third party and we can't do that.

Its rained and stormed here all day too, but thats ok, the good weather sure outweighs the bad.

Jump in and start making some money and friends.

Thanks everybody!

Halloween at Universal would be too spooky for me. I don't like people jumping out and scaring me. Mickey's party is more my speed;o) The only thing kind of negative about Universal is that they don't have free fast passes. You have to pay for fast pass priviledge and it's about $20 per ticket and then you can only ride each ride one time with that ticket. Considering that would cost us $80 each day X 3 days - we decided it would be cheaper and cooler to stay at the Hard Rock Hotel and then get the Unlimited VIP pass.

Anyway - thanks for the welcome and I'll see you guys around. I'll keep an eye out for you at Disney - Cindy -and will flag you down if I see you;o)

Welcome, Shades99. It's great to have another Disney "expert" on the forum to answer all of the many questions that come up about Disney. Thanks for your willingness to share.:sunshine:
