A New Disney Princess....

Disney is coming out with a new princess! The first ever African American Princess, how cool! The movie is due to come out soon as well! Finally!:sunshine2:

I heard about that one! I also heard that there will be a Disney Rapunzel in...was it 2008 or 2009???? 2 more additions to the Disney princesses!

I'm so glad disney is going back towards animated movies. While the pixar movies have some good qualities they just aren't the same as the animated movies we all grew up with. I just love them- the songs, the stories, the artwork.

I don't know how I feel about "new" princesses ... I'm thrilled that they're doing more animated movies, but the princesses now are all based on fairy tales that have been around for hundreds of years, which I think lends a lot to their appeal .... obviously I can't make a judgement on the newbies until I know the backstory, but I'm leary. Of course if they do Rapunzel, that could be interesting .... but I like the princess group as it is now.


I'm also 23-going-on-80 and am set in my ways! :rotfl:
