The Olympics starts tonight! Who is anxious? What are you going to watch? I know that I can't wait for the figure skating and ice hockey. We are torn as to what country to root for in hockey - Team USA, Team Canada -Sidney Crosby is my sons favorite Pens Player, or Team Russia - Malkin is my daughters favorite Pens Player and since she was adopted from Russia she tends to root for the Russian athletes!

I love the Olympics. LOVE THEM and we went to Whistler for our honeymoon and 5 year anniversary so I am excited to seeit on tv. I am letting the kids stay up a little later tonight to watch some.

I also am a fan of Stephen Colbert so I am looking forward to seeing him talk about the Olympics and follow "his team." :)

I'm anxious to see the opening ceremony, the rest of it I will watch if there is nothing else on.

I am sooooo psyched for the Olympics to start. Hockey should be amazing. I'll be rooting for the USA team (they'll have Brooks Orpik!). I don't think there's a winter Olympic sport I don't like . . . well maybe not curling. I just don't get that sport.

The new "We Are The World" for Haiti relief is supposed to be on sometime during the opening ceremonies tonight. All in all, it should be a great night to watch TV.

I never thought about that. It is kind of neat and a great way for those from other countries to be a part of something that makes up who they are.

I'm in the middle of it until I leave for Turkey on Wednesday. I'll be taking my olympic wear with me to cheer the team on while I'm away though. I don't think this city has ever seen a bigger, noisier party (not so happy about the noise!)

I like the inspirational athlete stories. Like the 51 year old skier from Mexico and the first every Olympic athlete from Ghana.

Absolutely loved the new "We Are The World" song, the opening ceramonies were aweswome.

We can't wait for hockey (of course) and we'll route for team USA. Although DS likes Ovechekin..But now that DS is into snowboarding we'll watch that and skiing at the least.

That's what I like. I look forward to those little stories thrown in here and there. They are so moving.

I can't wait to watch the opening ceremonies. It's weird that some of you have already seen it. :)

The live version is going now - not sure why they chose this k.d. lang number - she is sooooo depressing!

The US coverage is starting late (not sure why). Since the We Are the World song isn't part of the official ceremony where did they stick it in the US coverage?

I would love one of those caps the US olympians are wearing. Wish I could find somehwere that would sell them.

It's so neat to see everyone so proud of their own country.

DH wants one of those USA caps also. I think I will do a google search and see what I can come up with. Way back in 1996, DH got me a lightweight Team USA jacket from QVC.

I really enjoyed watching the opening ceremony last night. We were at Buffalo Wild Wings and weren't even planning on watching it but they had it up on the big screens and it was just awesome. There were people there cheering for their native countries which was kind of neat.

My only complaint was that there wasn't any sound!

I am an avid Olympics watcher and have watched every night so far. terribly saddened by the death of the luger from Georgia (the country) but last night was sooooo awesome for Canada! I had actual tears rolling down my face when the moguls skier hugged his handicapped brother, and what he said about him was just so touching. oooh just got goosebumps.

I LOOOOOOOOVE speed skating, and Apolo Ohno is my FAVORITE!!! He won silver the other night by sheer luck though, but boy was that an exciting race! And watching Hannah receive her medal last night was awesome too.

I do wish that I could see more during the day though, it seems like I have to stay up supper late every night just to see the good stuff! I won't be able to do that tonight though.

Hey!!! So good to see you around here.

I can't believe you don't like them!! Are you not American? Just Kidding. I think most people don't really care too much. I just happen to LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it.

We have been glued to the TV since Friday night. DD had a weigh in for wrestling tonight and DD was concerned as to what time we would get home so she wouldn't miss the Olympics!
