I sent in a bunch of postcards, maybe 30 or so and I won twice. First came a blue Mickey Ears hat and then I got a lanyard with two pins attached. I've not won anything while in the parks yet but we leave Saturday for 9 days, so I'm hoping for that sleepover in the castle!!! :rotfl:

Through the mail ins (sent in about 15 card in the last year) I have won 3 times. 2 blue Mickey ears and 1 lanyard with 2 pins on it. Then in July we won dream fastpasses while at MK! We missed the castle stay by 3 honeypots. My understanding was that the 3rd honeypot after us was going to be offered the castle stay.....so close!!!! But the fast passes were REALLY nice!

We were there for 11 days in September & didn't even see the Dream Team once. Saw some people w/the fast pass lanyards, but never saw them given away. This could be because we normally don't get to the parks until after 11am. Not sure? I really wanted the DVC membership!! :0)

Good luck to everyone who's going!!

My guys won Dream fastpasses while getting off RNR at MGM one day. It made my little mans day. He still talks about that. I did not do the mail in this year, but I am gonna do it for the next one!

I won dream ears through the mail in postcard part and we had a dream team member take us on all of the rides in Epcot one morning (but that wasn't an "official" dream in the contest, though it certainly was to us!)

I have won twice with postcards. I sent in 1 for each family member for a month. Then about 3 months later we won ears. I did the same thing in July and we just won a lanyard and pins last week.

For all the money I spent on postage I could have bought them on Ebay but the joy of winning was priceless.

I won Blue Mickey Ears at Disneyland in June. I went to WDW in August and while I didn't see the Dream Team, I did see quite a few people with dream fastpasses. I'm going back to WDW in December and would love to win Blue Mickey Ears so that I could have them from both WDW and DL. Even if I don't win anything though, I'm just happy that I was able visit Disney (World/Land) as many times as I did this year.

When I was at WDW in March for training, the girl I was with won an unofficial dream so we got to ride Dumbo between Wishes and Spectromagic. She had never been on the ride because the lines were always too long. If you ever get the chance, looking over the MK from that high up with all the lights is absolutely gorgeous.

My family won two official dreams in August. We won Dream AK fastpasses leaving Rafiki's Planet Watch or whatever that's called and then won the lanyard and pins in MK the next day getting off Winnie the Pooh.

DS13 and I won the lanyard with 2 pins back in June as we were exiting Big Thunder Mt. It was the last day of our 8 day vacation and we had pretty much given up on the Dream Squad so it was a nice surprise. We were treating my mother to her very 1st WDW vacation and she had a blast but wouldn't you know she had decided to sit out that ride and take a breather. After getting our dream- DS went running over to grandma to show her his lanyard and say how she should have gone on the ride with us- and she started to cry! DS offered his prize to her and of course she refused it, but we felt so bad for her. :(

Back in January we won MK dream fastpasses when we were getting on the teacups. Between it being it being January and the fact that we had to go through some fast pass lines with my son in his wheelchair anyways, we hardly needed them. But it was still pretty cool!

We were there for 7 days in August and won 4 lanyards with two pins each while in line for Alladins magic carpet ride. We were very excited to win anything. My 4 year old son and 6 year old daughter won a magical moment while we were at Epcot in the Xmas store in Germany. They played the find the pickle on the Xmas tree game (some German tradition) and the store cast member gave them special magical moment certificates. It was really nice because she made it special for them and we were the only ones in the store at the time. She said she chose them because they were so well behaved while we were in the store. We were soooo proud.

Unbelievably, we won AGAIN!!! Saturday morning we let the girls each pick the one ride that they wanted to ride the most before we left that afternoon. DD6 picked space mountain so we ran there as soon as the park opened. As we were getting off the ride, the Dream Squad was standing there cheering and telling everyone that we had won. They were quickly putting wristbands on us and giving us pins. In all the excitement, it was hard to even tell what we had won!! Turned out that it was a "dream hour" in the park from 10-11 that night. They were only giving out 5,000 wristbands and we 5,000 were going to have the park to ourselves.

Bad news. :( We had already checked out of the hotel and were set to fly out at 5. We really did try to stay, but the airline couldn't even get us on a flight the next day and it would have cost about $600 to fly another airline, not to mention that we didn't have a room.

I told SG that we were the most unlucky lucky people in Disney this week!

My husband and I won Dreampasses at MGM on Oct. 24th. The only thing was, we already went on TOT and had already waited an hour at Rock n' roll roller coaster, so it was a bit bittersweet since MGM doesn't have many FP attractions. But it was cool to win, and we kept the fastpasses as a keepsake.

It wasn't a real dream, but when YoungestBrother and DSIL were there last week, they ran into a couple who won Dream Fastpasses and were leaving the park, so they gave them them. They wound up not using the fastpasses, so they passed them onto the next couple. Struck me as pretty magical, in my book. :)

That is very cool.

When we were there in May, standing in the peter pan line(it was like an hour) some guy walks right up to us and gives us 4 FP. He made my day. Katie was whiny and just wanted to see peter. That after noon he was my hero! :) So after that we made it a point to pass along our FP if we were not going to use them!!

I would love to get some tips on this as well?

What is the address?
Do I just send a postcard with name, address, phone number? Or is there something else I need to include?
Is there a limit on the number of postcards I send?
What is the address?

Any other info you have would be great! Thanks in advance.

I just went to the Post office and bought cheap prestamped postcards. On the one side with the stamp, you put this address:

PO Box 8650
Elmhurst, IL 60126
USA

On the other side you need to HAND PRINT (no sticker):

your name
your address
phone
birthdate

I just don't remember when we can start sending them in. I believe it is late December.

Good luck!

I have only sent in 2 each month last time. BUT I won 3 times! I did send in about 10 this past month because I had bought them and already filled them out and found them underneath some paper! But I have not won anything from that batch - or at least yet. What I won was a lanyard with 2 pins and 2 blue Mickey ears. VERY fun!

Some people send 1 out every day or more. I just figured 1 or 2 a month is plenty. I figured if I am meant to win, I will win. So send as many or as little as you want!

I will have to dig about when the starting mailing date is for the new YOAMD. I know they have a thread on the DIS that will have the answer. I just haven't looked over there very much.

We have also won 2 hats and 6 lanyards from mailing in postcards.

Just got back and on our first day at the Parks (MK to be specific) we were coming off of Goofy Barnstormer (my dd4's favorite ride) and waiting for us was a dream team member and we were all given dream fast passes!!!! A great start to our vacation. To be honest that is the one park that I would want to win the fast passes for........there are so many rides there that is was great not having to fast pass everything ourselves!!!

Very Happy!!

Wow, this is one lucky group!

We went to DW in 10/06 and on our second day our family of four won lanyards. We were in AK just about to do one of the walking tours of the animals and they stopped everyone. I was wondering what was going on because I didn't think it was a guided tour when they announced we had all won the lanyards. My DS9 loved pin trading (and we spent some $$ on buying pins so he could trade!)

We also had some unofficial magical moments which to us were even more pricesless.

The first day we were in Epcot and it was 93 degrees and we were waiting for the Norwegian ride. My husband and the boys stood out in the sun while I ran into the bakery to look (yummy!) Anyway, I turned around and my husband was out of line talking to a CM so I hurried out to see what the problem was. We were chosen to be honorary Vikings and got to skip to the front of the line and ride the Viking ship all by ourselves. My boys got their certificates and we were so happy we weren't standing in line!

Then on our 3rd day, we were at MK and about to get on the Pirates ride. My DS4 rode in the stroller so we had the rolling dismount where I would grab him out and DH would continue walking right to the stroller parking, while we walked to the line. A CM stopped us and asked us how many were in our group. We waited for my DH and the CM took out a treasure map and talked to my DS4 about what it was and what you find. Then we walked behind the scenes and got to skip to the front on the line and again ride the boat all by ourselves. At the end, DS4 gave the map to the CM at the end of the ride and he got a plastic parrot filled with plastic gold coins and tattoos.

Also, my DS9 was celebrating his birthday and met some very kind CM's. Besides many happy birthday greetings, he received a free ice cream from a cart vendor, and when he couldn't make up his mind pin trading, a CM gave him 2. It really is the little things that make a big memories.

It was a great trip and I really missed DW for a long time after that. I also understood why some people went every year.

We are heading back next Thanksgiving with my parents and a year doesn't seem so long when you've got that to look foward to. I was really excited to know that they were extending the YOAMD to 2008.

Good luck to everyone!

on our april trip, the dream team gave us dream fastpasses at animal kingdom. we had several magic moments and certificates, we were also chosen to be vip family for the grand fiesta boat ride in mexico. that is so cool to pass the whole line of waiting guests and then get a boat to ourselves.

(right now it is hard to remember april details because we just got back from a dec trip)

on this dec trip, we won dream fast passes at mgm. lacy received a tinkerbell pin from a cm, at the hotel she got another pin, something about being an honorary pop century person. she won a trophy at the big wheels ride. the main thing and the biggest excitment for me was that mickey mouse picked my granddaughter to open toontown! he escorted her all thru the mickey house. that was just the best. i mean i thought about that last nite, if only 1 family a day gets picked, that means only 365 families a year, out of how many millions of people, that is like winning a lottery. and come on, to be given an escort by the mouse that started this whole thing! i will treasure that moment so much more that anything else.

So this isn't an "official" dream since I wasn't able to go this year, but when I called a few weeks ago to postpone our trip until next year, the CM gave me something that's just as good in my book. My DS will be turning into a Disney adult before our trip next year and I told the CM as much and he told me was well aware of that and was keeping the kids ages the same as this year, therefore saving me $100 or so. Sounds like a dream to me!!
