My favorite was a very cute little (about 2yrs old) bumble bee! She was absolutely adorable!

Of course, we had the usual teenagers with no costumes. There was even the young man with a full beard that dh told him he was too old, but gave him candy bacause we don't want any "tricks" done to our home. But, the most shocking was two scantilly clad young ladies. Dh asked them what they were supposed to be and one said her friend "is a ho"....nice, huh??!!

Wow sounds like some really classy chicks!! :rotfl:

My favorite was a little girl dressed in a homemade Madeline costume and a little girl dressed in a homemade Mary Poppins costume (complete with cute hat, umbrella, and spectacles)......way too cute!! :)

My DS8's school is really pushing the importance of reading this year so they each had to bring a book to go with their costumes which lead to a bunch of really creative costumes.........one teacher was even the mean sub from the book "Miss Nelson is Missing"!!:) Does anyone else remember that book?? It was one of my faves when I was young.

Our token TOTer was a shark eating someone-it was a very cute costume.
However, his conversation had my howling.
Kid: Trick or treat!
Hedy: Aren't you a nice shark! ((gives candy))
Kid: Thank you!
Hedy: Do you like Reeses or York patties better (still shoveling candy into Kid's bucket).
Kid: I don't really like either, but my mom likes both.
Hedy: I'll some of both for your mom then.
Kid: Thank you!

We only had 10 kids this year - makes for too much leftovers for me & DH!!

The cutest Fairy - but not tinkerbell.

A couple dressed as spiderman - and some sports people.

I saw a family of three kids. One was a hotdog, one was ketchup, and one was mustard. That was probably my favorite.

I totally remembered Miss Nelson is Missing! That was a great book!

My 6 yr old neice went as Ameila Earhart! She had to do a report on a famous person at school & Ameila is who she decided on & then decided it would be warmer to go out as Ameila instead of a Princess.

She wore a cap w/flaps, goggles, leather jacket, boots & a scarf around her neck! Funny!

The cutest one I saw was a little girl in a stroller. She had yarn hair and overalls on. Around the stroller was a box. The box was a cabbage patch box. It was SOOOO cute! She was a cabbage patch doll in a box! SO creative!

We had wonderful weather here last night. So, you could actually see the costumes. Normally it is cold and the kids are wearing coats over their costumes. This is the first Halloween that I can remember having the windows open.

So, DH decorates our house and he does it up spooky/scary. He's got a fog machine, strobe light, body parts and graveyard. A lot of kids are too afraid to come to the door:cooldance: But, there was one little girl, probably 3 or 4 years old, dressed as a cheerleader. She was completely unfazed by any of the scary stuff. She marched right up to the front door to trick or treat. Then after she got her candy she stood right there with her daddy to check out the display. It was funny that kids 2 or 3 times her age couldn't do what she did. She was adorable.

The best costume I saw was at work. He had on a superheros costume and this big visor on his head. He kept yelling Its ok SUPERVISOR IS HERE.
