I am going to see it this weekend. I just watched another Sweeney Todd (from 1996?) It was pretty good. I am excited to see Tim Burton's version.

I have not seen it yet and not one person I know wants to see it!! I guess I will have to sneak out and go by my lonesome (aw man, all the nachos to myself?!?:cooldance: )

It was very good, well done. It was gory, but I thought it was pretty cartoonish-like I'd be ok with my 13 year old niece seeing it.

I'm in SC, but i would travel the world for some nachos!! :love: Nachos are my one main weakness--give them to me any which way you can fix them!! I guess if I ever get out that way, I'll have to look up my nacho buddy! Don't know if you drink but rita's and nachos spell dinner to me!!

I went to see it with my 14YO to see it on Christmas Eve. Any excuse for some Johnny Depp eye candy!!!! I really enjoyed it. There were a couple "dang!" moments.

The only thing I didn't like was Alan Rickman playing such a nasty little skeeveball. I love him (I even think Snape is sexy!), and that character made me ill.

Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter just have a really cool chemistry.

Certainly wouldn't mind seeing this again.

DH and I are going tonite! My parents are taking the kids for the night and we are going to dinner and a movie! I can't wait to see it, I've heard good reviews.

I'm good watching surgery and eating, but not in the dark at a movie?! Wierd, I know.

So, we just got back and I ran here to post to you. You have to go and see it! It was great!! I liked how the story line was changed a bit. I can totally see this as another cult classic like The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Isn't it funny how SR is never far from your mind! For awhile I thought I was strange when I couldn't wait to get on here and post something. But I got over that!!

Anyone see the Angela Lansbury version and this one? How do they compare? Seems the story is a bit changed, as I don't remember (then again it's been years) any sort of love between Angela and Sweeney's character.

I don't generally like Tim Burton's stuff, I don't like Helena...sigh...despite Johnny D. I'm just not sure this movie is going to be for me. :o

FINALLY saw Sweeney Todd tonight and loved it!! DH even watched it with me, which is a total shock! It wasn't quite as gory as I had imagined. And I was surprised by Depp's singing (of course he could sound like a toad and I would love it:p). Can't wait to watch it again--with my beef nachos, hee hee.:rotfl:

DH bought it for my birthday! I just love this movie. I'm taking it to a friend's house tomorrow to watch it again:D
