Newbie here, what was the last Disney payout? It won't be here in time for this trip but can save it up for the next right or use it at one of our Disneyland trips

Can't wait!! This will be my biggest cashout at once! I have enough for $450 :cooldance: . Of course it will be sad to see my balance go down close to 0, but it's worth it!! lol

There are no guarantees as to what Tricia will offer, but in the past it was like this:

$25 for 24 credits
$50 for 48 credits
$100 for 95 credits
$150 for 142 credits
$200 for 188 credits

It is a great goal to set for yourself. She also offers some other gc at discounts during this time, but not sure what, but just purely as example, might be something like Kohls $50 for 48 credits, etc.

ETA: Yes, the Disney gc never expire, and are good for Disneyland also.

That is an awesome amount! Congrats! You are on your way to a great vacation! Either partly or all paid for! Gotta love it! Hopefully there will be a offer contest again to get our amounts up before the cashout! I love those too! (Except I get nothing done around the house during that time! LOL)

Again, congrats on a great amount!!!!

I have enough for a $200 card and a $50, but I'm so torn if I should cash out for disney or not since we don't know when we are going back! I know I could always save it for next year if we decide to go somewhere else this year but I could also use the money for something else. Oh, decisions, decisions....

I'm with you. I signed up in Aug, went to WDW in Nov and was able to cashout for $300 in october, which was great. Right before we left for Disney I did $50 in TRU and had a lot of credits rolling in, inbetween Thanksgiving and middle of December I cashout 3 more times for $50 Target cards. Heck that was extra xmas money!

Now the decision is tough. this cashout I'll only have enough for $50 maybe $100 depending on when it is. No biggy I can wait until the next one. BUT we don't have any plans to go in the next year maybe two. It would be at least 2 yrs possibly 3 before we go back. So now my dilema is do I save and cashout at the big Disney cashouts and hold onto to see how much I can save to pay for a trip when we do go, OR do I just hold onto them save and cashout for bday's and xmas???????

I'm leaning closer to just keep saving for Disney and maybe if I save enough we can go in 2 yrs vs 3, but to not have all that extra $ when doing shopping... ARG!!!! :)

I'm excited for the cashout... I'm thinking I must have done lots of shopping and surveys waiting for this baby to make her appearance :rotfl: . DH said I should cash out for Target GC's, but I'm stingy with my SR money. I like to use it all for Disney to pay for food and souvies! I'm hoping I can pay for one of our annual passes as well- that would be nice! Our trip is in October so I have a little time to save up! Trying to convince DH we need to go in December for a short trip too, but not so sure how effective it has been yet. Although DS3 has been saying just about daily "We need to go to Disney"!

It's exciting seeing how much everyone is planning to cash out for! Can't wait for the big day!!

askomsky and disney girl - I vote for you to save for Disney! At least that is what I ALWAYS do! We go every 2 years. (Of course this year is an exception as DD and I are taking a trip without the boys). But I am hoping by July of 2009 when we go as a family, that my trip will be almost all paid for. Right now I have almost $700 saved for it and I started saving in mid July. Mostly from SR, but some from some gift cards that were given to me. (My friends know my obsession!)

DH mentioned yesterday that maybe I should cash out for some other gift cards to buy some other things....I gasped! This is my Disney savings fund! He just smiled. He was teasing. He is also hoping that I save a lot for our trip in 1 1/2 years. I started using SR for my Disney trips, and I will continue!

Good luck on saving guys!

when I started SR I cashed out for store cards, primarily Kohls, because we shop there so much, and it was great, but after about $200 or so, I decided to only cash out for Disney cards, and it has worked to my benefit, as we were able to go this past summer when we didn't expect to be able to.

I will not be cashing out this time around, but I wil keep saving up for the next big cashout. We have no Disney plans (unfortunately), but next time we go we have already decided that we want to get non0expiring plus hopper tickets, so we can use them for a minimum of two trips. We are hoping to be able to fund as much of that as possible through SR. So far I have $150 saved, but at least its a start!:)

Honestly, when I came to this site, I had no Disney plans whatsoever. You guys are very infectious! Now I'm booked on a Disney cruise in August 2009, so my mission is to cash out for at least $200 in Disney GC's, with a possibility of $400 if I can earn another $60 by then. I'm hoping to pay most, if not all of my cruise with my earnings from SR.:cooldance:

Well, you are my hero. :sunshine: I am doing the same thing, I try to pay as much of our way to WDW thru noncoventional means. Started out as a real help but it has now become a hobby, obsession and a point of honor to go to WDW as free as possible.

We're scheduled to go to WDW in November, but I just don't want to cashout too early if our plans change

I can't remember how often SR does this, but I'm thinking once a quarter?

disney_girl
01-10-2008, 03:39 PM
I believe last year, it worked out to be about once a quarter so that might be a safe bet! And a good thing about the Disney GC's is that they do not have an expiration date! Our trip is late October and I'm sooo thrilled at the balance I already have!!

The rumor has it that we should be seeing our first special big disney chast out of 2008 this month!

It generally is one day. She tends to split it, part in the morning and part in the evening, to help out both coasts.

Once she announces it, get in and make your disney gift card cashout. The more you have the better the deal is (for instance, a $200 gift card for 188 SR credits, has been seen in the past).

I am using all my SR monies for sit down meals for our June 08 trip. My goal is to pay for all our sitdowns with SR money. It is a lofty goal, as I think we have about 8 sit downs planned and we're a family of 5, but the way I am chugging along, I think I will easily get there!

Cashing out has no affect on your status on attaining SM. It will still show that you earned X amount so far, even if you cash out.

Nope! Only earnings count towards the $100 supermember goal, not your current balance. So to keep track of your $100 supermember goal, keep and eye on "Total Earnings this Quarter" in your current earnings tab. Hope that helps!

What are the odds that we will have another cash out around May? I have enough now for a $50 GC, but I would love to save it for later.

Whoa nelly! You go girl on the last cashout.

I'm wondering if there will be any big benefit to a $250 cashout? I might have enough?

Robin-

Based on the amounts the $200 & the $50 were the last cash out ($188 & $48 respectively), you'd need $236...I'm just $4 short of that so that's my new goal...if I can make it, I may just do it...if not, I may just wait to see when the next cash out is...

Hope that helps!

Whoo hoo!! If that is how it goes I would have enough to cash out for $250, okay only after the surveys credit for today...but I am SOOOOOO excited. I could hold out and hope for another closer to when we leave, which is the 23rd of May. Decisions decisions....

Go do an OTX survey, they usually credit within the hour that you take it. You can earn .70 easy and then you don't have to worry about it. Hey, I'm from Wisconsin, where do you live?

Disney Gift cards don't expire do they? If I get 9.50 more, I can cash out on $400 worth of cards. We may go to Disneyland this year and I can use them to pay for our tickets, if not, we won't be going to Disneyworld until 2010.

If the cards don't expire, I will be able to save them for our 2010 trip.

Pat-you should be able to view your email if you log into your SR account!

Click on Member Zone & then go to the very bottom of the screen. You'll see a yellow & blue section that says Member Zone & underneath you'll see Current Earnings, Redemption Center, Get Paid for Clicking, etc. Well there is a E Mail Links field, click on that & it will bring you to another screen that will list your paid emails. You can view the email there & you can click on the $0.01 to get credited as well!

No need to wait for it to be in your mailbox!!

Super Members WILL get all of the cashout options except for the $500 option before everyone else. This will help the server load so that we don't crash the site having absolutely everyone on at once. But there WILL BE ENOUGH for everyone to cash out. So the other members do not need to worry that we will run out. :) It will just help things go a little more smoothly this time.

This is the 4th cashout for me and this is the first time I have seen a $500 cashout. The previous cashouts were for:

$25 Disney Gift Card for 24 credits
$50 Disney Gift Card for 48 credits
$100 Disney Gift Card for 95 credits
$200 Disney Gift Card for 188 credits

I can't wait to find out how many credits are needed for the $500 cashout.

I'm in a quandry. I will definitely have $250-$270 for this cashout. I would likely only do the $200 mark, since as a SM I can always do the $50 cashout at $48.

We're not going to Disney until June....should I wait til the next cashout? But then what if I'm not quite at $500. This has been VERY hard for me to sit on and not cashout with.I like the gift cards in my hot little hands. I just am not sure. I'm certain another cashout will be before our trip.

What would others do? Cashout at $200 now (during next week's cashout)? Or sit on it until the next one? TIA-

Never mind- I think I just answered my own question.

I really wanted the cards as separate $100 cards (in my brain I keep track of them better that way). We are dining at several restaurants with other people where I already figured our part of the tab will be right around $100. It's easier for me just to lay out a $100 gift card and a few extra bucks than keep track of the tally on a $500 GC and have to do separate checks all the time. Esp cause the other party we're traveling with has the DDE and we want to be on their tab.

Thanks anyway!:sunshine2:

Somewhere I thought she said she had these $500 GCs in mind for people going on the Cruise or for making ressies for their Disney packages- that it would be nice to have the $500 to put as a lump on their cabin credit or their package credit. So that made me think she means this is an actual $500 gift card.

I am so torn with the cashout right now. I am at 185 and I have 2.58 pending. So that would put me at 187.58 which is pretty darn close to 188. But I am saving for a cruise for 2009 and my parents are booking it on the ship in 14 weeks. I am really at a loss as to what to do. LOL!

There isn't a $200 special option this time around (email) you would have to get 2 $100s which would be 190 credits.

I don't think there is a $188 option this time. Good news though, since your trip is in 2009 you can save up for the next one! The info was in a recent email, if you haven't rec'd it yet I'm sure you will soon. I think they are sent out in batches.

$25 Disney Gift Card: 24 credits
$50 Disney Gift Card: 48 credits
$75 Disney Gift Card: 72 credits
$100 Disney Gift Card: 95 credits
$250 Disney Gift Card: (will come as 2 $100 cards and 1 $50 card) 235 credits
$500 Disney Gift Card: 470 credits

I know it is hard not to do, planning for these I mean, but that is why it is always made point, "No guarantees, but this is what was offered before..." when people post about the special.

That $500 would be a nice one to get!!!

There is no way of knowing. We have to remember that this is something special Tricia does to reward us for being loyal and honest. It is not programmed part of SR.

BUT! Last year I think it was quarterly, so I like to think as long as we are all good girls and boys, she'll keep rewarding us :sunshine:

I think as a Supermember this special cashout isn't that great, as most of the smaller cashout amounts are our normal cashout rate, but if you are a regular member this is a great way to get extra bang for your money. I think it is fun that she can change the cashout levels when she wants, makes it more gamey. :) We all love our games.

Just a little reminder to everyone- especially those who have never cashed out before or have moved recenlty. Take a minute to look at your SR account information and make sure that your address is correct and current before the big cash out. It's so much easier on Tricia to have this information correct before you hit that button! :)

I have enough for the $500 option- so hopefully I'll be able to either get one of the $500 cards or two of the $250's! I'll leave the rest in my account to build up for next time!:)

I was all excited to do a cash-out but now think I'll wait until next quarter. I remember seeing something about another one before MissAngie goes away for spring break? It's always nice to have the gift cards but I think I'll wait for a cash-out option that works better for me. What fun though, eh?

No telling when or what will be offered at the next cashout... but since I don't have enough for this one... I've at least have a goal to shoot for...

now to go find some offers to do, complete a survey or two and do some shopping.

So according to the email, the old $200 cashout for $188 is not being offered this time around. That's a bummer since that's what I intended to cash out for. I do have enough for $250. Guess I'll go that route. :)

Does anyone know what time SM's get to cash out tomorrow? I've got a ton of stuff going on tomorrow but don't want to miss out.

I just did the math (I'm sure you did too but for anyone else wondering) the 100 cashout ends up being $2 more if you do 2 of those for $200 than the old $200 cashout.

Yeah, I did it too. ;) But I'm all about maximizing my return. So I think I'll go ahead and do the $250. It's really a better deal IMO than the $188 ($200) cashout anyway.

I'm trying to mix things up a little bit. This past two months have been HORRIBLE months for us in terms of revenue. I'm sure you can imagine...it's just not a good time of year for online advertising. But I still wanted to do something special.

And I just got off of the phone with a new person who is helping me add something pretty cool to the site. It will take a couple of weeks to get going, but it will be a fun addition to SR. :sunshine:

It looks like you have enough (from your ticker $301?) to get a $250. If so I'd go with that, or wait till next time if you want to go for a higher one.

If you think you can make another $50 by mid March, then I would hold off and then you can cash out for $100 in March. That is just my 2 cents. I am not sure what the special cashout for $50 is though compared to regular cashout of $100.

There will be special rates for lower cash-outs right? I don't have much since a bunch of offers haven't credited, but I still would like to take advantage of a deal if I can get one!

The $25 gift cards are up now. You would need $24 in credits to cash out. Just go to the rewards section.

I'm having to sit on my hands to keep from clicking. I only have $60, so it would really be silly of me to get the $50. Must wait must wait must wait for the future. :p

Tricia, do you have an estimate of the total $ amount of Disney Gift Cards that were ordered this time during the special cashout? I saw at one point you figured $14,000. Did the total go much over that? I'm amazed by all of this. Thank you for giving all of us the opportunity to cashout.:sunshine2:

I'm wondering how the gift cards are mailed. Are they in a clearly marked SR envelope or does the envie look like junk mail. I just want to be careful not to throw them away!
