I usually just copy it to the cd using internet explorer (you know, the yellow folders lol).

Put the cd in, open its folder, then open another instance w/ your photos folder and drag over / Copy Here...

That is to just make a cd copy...if you want it do do anything fancy you'd need a program, so hopefully someone will chime in w/ any info.

Which programs do you have one your computer? I use Nero for all my burning but I have heard you can do it through Windows Media and Roxio.

if you computer can burn cds more than likely it has some kind of burning software! Now if all you want to do is be able to archive your photos on Cd and then access them again on a computer what you will want to select when using your burning program is DATA disk! then just copy the folders and the pictures taht you want to the data disk side of the program and put in your blank cd and then click burn! I hope this helps! Also if your using a photo album progrma like googles piscas and others they have options to burn disks of your photos as well! Hope this has helped some!

ps.
if they are already on cd and you want to copy the cd in your burning program pick copy and put in your orginal and the wait for it to tell you to remove the orginal and put in the blank to make the copy!

this explains it a little for XP, maybe Vista is similar?

i am so embarassed to say, i could not figure this thing out at all last nite, i tried for so long. i ended up giving the cd to my daughter to put in her computer to see if anything was on the cd.
..and i can't believe that there was, but i have no idea how i did it, and the worse part is, i have no idea how the computer decided to put those pics on the cd, cuz i surely did not chose the ones that showed up. lol

so i went to bed mad.

woke up this morning, and tried it first thing (well right after making breakfast), and low and behold the lite bulb went off! you put the cd in and then a pop up comes on, chose the one you want, burn using whatever, and a window is there, adjust the size and then pull up another window with the files/pictures and adjust that size. drag and drop unless you want the whole file.

geeze is this what you were trying to tell me! LOL any now my next question is this. it says it will not hold anymore on the cd. is that it? do i just remove the cd now? done? i haven't taken the cd out yet, i am afraid to, until i know that is all i have to do.

Hmm it sounds like you have filled up all the available space on that cd. So based on the link if you have done both of these:

5.
In My Computer, double–click the CD recording drive. Windows displays a temporary area where the files are held before they are copied to the CD. Verify that the files and folders that you intend to copy to the CD appear under Files Ready to be Written to the CD.

6.
Under CD Writing Tasks, click Write these files to CD. Windows displays the CD Writing Wizard. Follow the instructions in the wizard.

Then you are done and everything should be in there. I've never tried doing it this way so I have no real experience. Hopefully it will work.
