Google Plus?

Anyone else on Google+? I just started a couple of nights ago. So far I am seeing almost all affiliate marketing people in there.

I just heard about it in a survey last night. Well really just heard the name. What is it?

I don't know what it is either. I've seen the logo on some websites, and just today two of my tech savvy cousins posted about it on Facebook.

There are two parts to what is going on.

The +1 that you see on sites themselves and in Google search results is Google's equivalent of the Facebook "like." It helps you spread the word about pages you like and helps with search engine rankings (we just added them to each of the SR merchant pages and are adding them to the homepage today).

Google+ is Google's new social network. It basically looks just like Facebook. You friend people and have a stream and upload pictures, etc. The biggest difference from Facebook is that you can set up "circles" of friends so that when you post, you can decide who sees it--your friends, your family, your co-workers, etc.

i havent tried it yet but I did see a story about it the other day and how google is trying once again to go after facebook. It will be interesting to see how well it does and if it can take off as well as facebook.

Yes, I am on it, but haven't explored it at all. Do you still need an invitation to join during this testing phase, or is the testing over? Not sure.

I think they are still in testing. A lot of people are saying that they have not been able to get in yet.

You don't need an invitation if you have a google login, but when I tried to get in today, it said they are still testing and not letting everyone in yet.

I signed up but am not sure what to do. I'll probably check in every now and then to see if it gets going.
