She is approaching the race site and its looking pretty gloomy. She is sure she will be running in the rain. As many of you know, she is running in the race for the cure today in Indianapolis. Her goal is 500.00. Its not too late to donate. There are two different ways. You can donate at the donation station or you can go directy to Tricias page (http://race.komenindy.org/site/TR?px=1015780&fr_id=1050&pg=personal)at the Susan G Komen site and donate there. This is a great cause, and every dollar is appreciated. I will be posting some pics through the day of her in the race.

Wow, it looks like a HUGE race! The first pic looks like it is really raining; the 2nd one looks just drizzly. Tricia is amazing.......still smiling through it all! I was also impressed by the line-up of port-a-potties in the first pic. With all that rain, I think I'd be visiting them frequently.:rotfl:

And I am home!!! Did 3 miles in 35 minutes--my best time ever. YEA!!! It was so exciting. The first mile was a total downpour. Then all of a sudden when we turned into the second mile, the clouds parted and the sun started shining brightly. It was truly like a metaphor for all of those people who have dealt with breast cancer--first the rain, and then God's sunlight to show you that you are going to make it through.

This was a really inspiring year for me because just a couple of weeks ago I found out that one of the teachers at Jillian's school (who also has a son in her class) recently found out that she had breast cancer. She quickly had a double mastectomy and is starting chemo now. We were able to go and talk with her and give her some encouragement before the race.

I'm headed to our Donation Station page to see how many credits we have and go and double them and add them to my race page. I think I am going to be really close to my $500 goal!!! :sunshine:
