Behind the times...but now ready to shop & need tips!!

Ok, I know I'm REALLY late joining the bandwagon on these, but I just started a Nominations/Italian Charm bracelet. :rotfl: I know, they were quite something a few years ago & don't ask why I'm starting one now, but I'm excited for it!!

So...I have found many charms on ebay I like a lot. Is there any thing I should be watching for to make sure I'm not buying a bad charm? (You know, like when you start on the Disney pins there are certain that you shouldn't buy??) Or should I just buy what I like??

Anyone ever have a photo made into a charm? I'd like to do that, but wondering about the quality of both the charm & photo.

Any site you like to buy charms better than others? I did do a search on SR so I know there are plenty of places to buy from, but just wondering what people who do/did have to say about buying charms!!
