Gamefly question for those who are active members

After posting that I'd like to see a Gamefly offer added, I looked and saw that they had raised the price on the first month a bit.

Here's my question. I'm looking to sign up this week. Given that the difference in price is now minimal, I'm, wondering if anyone who has an active account can tell me if you can pay for your monthly fee with a gift subscription. I'm not sure if they would consider this cheating or not since the gift certificates are shopping. I'd like to know before I sign up so I can plan accordingly. Right now, I think it looks like it might be better to just buy myself a GC a month and use that to pay for it, but the terms and conditions don't state if I can do that or not.
