Dumb q about meal times

Excuse my dumbness...

If lunch is scheduled to end at 2:30 at a restaurant, does that mean the last seating is at 2:30 or must you be done and out of there at 2:30?

I really think it means you have to be seated by 2:30. At least that what it's like in the restaurant I work in..We close at 10pm, so if you come in the door at 9:55 we have to seat and serve you. (With a smile too! )

But it may mean that they switch over for dinner around 3pm too.
