I am still in shock over this. I worked very closely with Gail for a year planning the cruise and many times we'd be talking at 9 at night (of course, she was west coast and I'm east coast) and after awhile she did tell me little things going on in her life. I know that her dad was sick and the little 8 year girl had some problems, but she never said anything negative about her husband. In fact, she would talk often about how the kids loved him and when they would take Disney cruises, he was always the center of attention with his balloon animals. There were times when I couldn't reach her for weeks and she would call and tell me that there was just a lot going on, now I think about that and wonder if that "a lot" was the problems with her husband. This is just sickening and horrible....and proves that a restraining order is merely a piece of paper and doesn't protect you. I'm also curious as to how long it took the police to get to here after she placed the 911 call.
