Pictures.com question

Hola everyone.

I signed up for pictures.com a few weeks ago. A few days ago I get a piece of paper in the mail saying "your photograph was selected for publication because of its unique perspective and your artistic vision." Then it goes on to say it'll be published in something called Endless Journeys and I can order copies of the publication at an artists discount ($70 instead of $90). My photo has also been advanced into the semi finals in the nature category in the International Open Amateur Photography contest.

My question is.. did everyone who did pictures.com get this? I'm wondering if this is legit or just a way to make some $$ off of everyone?

Ironically, I still have not be creditted on SR for this offer which is the only reason I even bothered entering a photo .

Everyone gets those. It's the same as poetry.com. They sell books with your poem or in this case picture and say it's in some sort of contest. I don't really believe the whole contest part.

That's sort of what I assumed. Glad I didn't actually send them money.
