Question about Shutterfly?

The offer states that New members get $4 for a purchase. Earn 3% back on all returning member purchases. Can only new members take advantage of this as in "first time signing up new member?"

Or being that I already have an account with them, I can still earn the 3% back on my purchases by coming here first and I just don't get the $4 first time bonus kinda thing???
