For offers like AIP Online Surveys, do I have to do something after signing up to get credit? I got the confirmation email and clicked on the link in it. Should the credit be automatic, or do I have to forward the confirmation email, or what?

Click on the link in the confirmation email, you don't have to forward the emails. For the AIP offer I filled out all those profile surveys and it did credit for me. I am probably not the best one to give advice on offers, I haven't had much luck with them in a while. But, there's some threads on offers crediting floating around the forum.. Try doing a search-you should be able to find some good info!
