What a treat for Mom.

3) A Treat for a trick
Small pirates and princesses
Candy, dentist woes

4) Witches' cauldrons bubble,
Strange indgredients floating around,
Best to hide my FROGS!

5) Weight Watchers points gone
No more orange candycorn
Hidden out of sight

6) Full moon, foggy night
The leaves crunch under my feet,
pumpkin candles glow.

7) Children Trick or Treat
Ruby red candy apples
Sweet sticky fingers

8) When the SUNSHINE fades
kids in costumes seek REWARDS
of sugary treats!

Since technically the haiku can be written in different ways, we didn't want to penalize anyone for not following the traditional syllable count. We figured that we would leave it up to the members and if you didn't want to vote for one because it didn't follow the 7,5,7, you could very well do that. But we did find some authorities online that said that the syllable counts could vary.
