    Smile Disney At Christmas

Has anyone gone just after Christmas. How bad will the lines be. Where would you go for New Years Eve. I was thinking of going to the Animal Kingdom that day then to the Rainforest for Dinner and have an early evening and get out again early on News Day. Any suggestions would be appreciated

We went to WDW for the first time Christmas of '05. We woke the kids up at 4:00 Christmas morning and surprised them with "Guess what, we're going to Disney World... RIGHT NOW!!" and it was amazing!

We arrived mid-day on Christmas day at POFQ (no lines - where were the crowds? LOL!), went to see the Gingerbread House at the GF (don't miss that), had Christmas dinner at Chef Mickey's, and then went to MGM for Fantasmic. MGM was crowded but not too bad. The 26th we got to MK early for EMH and it wasn't crowded until around 10. The next 3 days are kind of a blur -- it got more crowded as the week went on and CM's were saying that by New Years it would be crazy. All week the busses were not too crowded either.

I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat, but it has worked out better for our schedules to vacation in January when things are a bit cheaper. There is NO PLACE like WDW at Christmas

    HTH!
