Final word on using codes?

I have an e-mail from Land's End with a code for free shipping. I know I might not get SR credit with the code, but should I not even try? After the Disney code mistake, I don't want to cause any trouble. I can order directly with Land's End and not worry about whether or not it might credit if there is any chance it would reflect badly on SR. I don't mind not getting credit for SR if I use the code, but I don't want to get anyone in trouble.

Land's End has never said anything to us about anyone using other codes. So you can try it with them. I'll post if they say anything.
