I HATE scary movies! The one that gave me nightmares for years is actually a Garfield cartoon from 1984. I don't remember anything about it except that there was a panther and it scared me to no end. You can find Garfield in the Rough as part of Garfield's travel adventures at Amazon for 8.97.

I don't like Garfield's Halloween either, that old dude is scary too. Inn fact, I think Garfield cartoons are too scary!

Funny story...my brothers tried to get me to ride something called Garfield's Nightmare at Kennywood a few years back immediately after becoming hysterical on Noah's Ark. Um, no thanks...he's given me enough nightmares over the years.

I was literally raised on horror movies. I'm currently obsessed with Repo: The Genetic Opera. You can get it from Glyde for $5!

    Repo! The Genetic Opera
    2008 R
    release
    Widescreen, 1 disc
    director
    Darren Lynn Bousman
    cast
Anthony Head, Paris Hilton, Bill Moseley, Sarah Brightman, Terrance Zdunich, …
    genres
    Musical Arts, Horror
Begun in 2002 as a Los Angeles stage production by writers Darren Smith and Terrence Zdunich, REPO! THE GENETIC OPERA was designed as a gory, comedic Grand Guignol to appeal more to club goers than fans of musical theater. One fan, aspiring director Darren Lynn Bousman, who has since worked on the SAW franchise, vowed to one day direct a film version of the show. Six years (and five SAW films) later, he has made good on his promise with a bizarre, gory, and unique piece of work that is as sure to entertain as it is to polarize its audience. In the year 2056, following an epidemic of human organ failure, the GeneCo Corporation—owned by the mafia-like Largo family—grows and installs new organs on a massive scale. The business, though, necessitates the employment of repo men to reclaim the organs from clients who miss their payments. Repo man and single father Nathan Wallace (Anthony Head, BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER) keeps his job a secret from his terminally ill daughter, Shilo (Alexa Vega), doing it only to pay for her costly medication. Nathan also has a secret history with GeneCo patriarch Rotti Largo (Paul Sorvino)—-and their connection is about to become public knowledge on the night of a concert from popular singer—and GeneCo client—Blind Mag (Sarah Brightman). Compellingly strange, REPO! resembles a comic book-influenced goth dinner theater production set within a dystopian video game. Musically, the score concentrates more on libretto-like sung dialogue than memorable tunes (save Vega's pop-punk "Sixteen" and Brightman's chilling "Chromaggia"), but the cast appears to be having a blast. Skinny Puppy's Nivek Ogre lends some underground cred as the most twisted member of the Largo clan, but Brightman gives the comically bloody proceedings true legitimacy. A surprising casting choice, she's an almost regal presence, and her goosebump-inducing soprano soars stratospherically above this fun cult film in-the-making.

I don't like scary movies, so I haven't seen many, but the first movie that I thought of was The Others. It's the only scary movie I've watched, and then wanted to watch again! It's available on Deep Discount for $8.89.

Like many other Sunshiners, I am not into scary movies. So I had my wife pick a movie instead. The movie that scared her most as a child was "The Ice Cream Man", available from deepdiscounts.com for $6.55.

I do not care for scary movies but I did see one that the murder scene was so disturbing....this man uses a giant drill to kill the victim! The movie is by Brian DePalma and is Hitchcock style (combo of Vertigo and Rear Window) the movie is called "Body Double" and can be purchased at Barnes & Noble with 3% back for $9.10 http://video.barnesandnoble.com/DVD/...%2Bdouble#TABS

Here is a synopsis/review: After unemployed actor Jake Scully finds his girlfriend in bed with another man he moves out and accepts an offer from fellow struggling actor Jake Bouchard to house-sit for a few weeks. Apart from getting to live in a swank and ultra-modern house he also get to watch a sexy neighbor, Gloria Revelle, who does a sexy dance in front of her window every night at exactly the same time. He becomes interested in the girl, infatuated even, following her around and eventually meeting her. She also has another admirer however and while watching her one night through his telescope, Jake sees her murdered by this other man. The police are skeptical about what he claims to have seen, but the case takes an even stranger twist when, while watching adult TV, he sees a porn star do the exact same dance he'd watched for all those nights. He soon realizes he's been an unwitting accomplice in a complex plot.

If you like scary movies with a real twist....check this one out!!
