    Default Fish Extender Exchange?

Only 4 more weeks until I sail on the Wonder from Vancouver to LA! I joined a facebook group of others that are also sailing and they put together a FE Exchange group. I have never done this before, but decided, why not try it out So...you FEE veterans...how does it work? Any tips or ideas? Do you buy a FE? Make your own? What type of gifts?

I know they do this over on the Disboards, but I'm not really active over there..

    Thanks for any ideas!!

I used a stocking on my cruise. I was in a group, and we got lobster pencils )new England theme) and did Vistaprint post cards of local recipes.

I made my own. You can buy them on ebay for $25 (like these http://www.ebay.com/itm/Custom-Made-...item3cd4185dd3) if you want a traditional one. I saw a cute one that someone made by just buying a few iPad cases and then sewing them all vertically together to essentially make 3 zipper pockets and then just added a string at the top.

Last time we did gifts for a couple of days. The first one was a "Cruise emergency kit" where we made up little bags of all kinds of things you might need--safety pins, clothes pins, wet wipes, highlighters, etc. I know people used a lot of the stuff in them because I heard them talking about it!

We also made magnets...as did quite a few other people. Either sheet magnets with stuff about the cruise preprinted or ones that had holes in them for people to use when they got home.

Some people go CRAZY making a lot of homemade stuff. Some people just buy little Disney items like pens, candy, etc.

Some people also just bring something that represents where they live, especially if they live near something unique.

It's fun! I always get a little stressed about mine being good enough...but it's worth it!

Wow, thanks for the ideas...That FE on ebay is cute! I wonder if I could just sew one up myself since I'm running out of time. The cruise leaves in 3 weeks!

I was thinking about making window stickers. One of the companies I work for doing web design stuff, has a vinyl machine/cutter for window clings or stickers....just trying to decide on a design. Maybe the disney cruise logo with a last name? or maybe not last name but date of the cruise...or maybe just "Disney Wonder 2013" ...other opinions?

I also have some travel agent items that we are sent from Disney....like a Disney growing chart to track you're children's height. I think I'll include that..it's very cute.

Wendy the window clings sound fun. The DCL logo with the dates of the cruise would be a great idea!
Oh and if in doubt the kids always seem to like candy

Here is the sticker I ended up printing out. But, they aren't clings, more like a fairly durable vinyl sticker

For most of the kids (age 6 and up) I got these mickey mouse shaped earbuds
    EBAY
My 9 year old son said they were cool, and he is always loosing or breaking his, so I thought, can't go wrong with ear buds. And CANDY!!

At the $ store I found those badge pulley things, and I am going to decoupage a different picture on the part you clip to your shirt, probably Disney Cruise Line logo or something...those are for the men.

For the women, I made these:

So I have to admit that I bought "homemade" FE gifts on Etsy this year for our upcoming trip. I just got so swamped!! But I still wanted something cute to exchange with. Blog post to follow!!
