No, but we were there on a school trip, last month. Very pretty town, great pizza place, downtown, called Fuel, or something like that. We visited "discovery" museum that was ok and then went to an amusement park, Carowinds.
Downtown seems to be doing alot of updating/re-building. Wasn't sure if they had been hit by a hurricane or tornado that tore up alot of the downtown or they were just doing a major rebuild because alot of the buidlings looked new and more were going up.
We actually talked to a reporter from there yesterday who is doing a story on rewards sites and is looking for some rewards site members to talk to. I'm anxious to see how it turns out!

I sent her an email, I'd be glad to tell her how great Sunshine Rewards is.
I live near Charlotte! She probably wouldn't would not want to quote me since my husband works for the Observer, though. Interestingly, I've never heard of her and I read the paper cover to cover each day -- I'm guessing a summer intern.
arob414 -- Charlotte is very much a new South city, and, unfortunately, it tore down a lot of its history. A lot of the buildings are new. Two of the country's five biggest banks -- Bank of America and Wachovia -- are headquartered here and have huge new buildings. The building projects at the moment include the NASCAR Hall of Fame, a new Wachovia building of some sort and an art musuem.
I was wrong about the reporter being an intern. She was in one of the bureaus until recently, so I didn't notice her stories.
I look forward to seeing the story, too.
Tricia's quoted -- looks like netwinner was the impetus for the story.
