We’ve never posted a music video in the Sunshine Rewards videoblog before, but there is a first time for everything. For those of you who are Disney fans, this is a must watch! If you are a Weird Al Yankovic fan–even better!

Weird Al’s new song “Skipper Dan” is all about a man who has dreams of being an actor but ends up as the “tour guide” on Disney’s Jungle Cruise. I have to say that I love the Jungle Cruise. I especially love to ride it at night. The jokes are corny and some of the effects are looking outdated, but it is classic Disney and good family fun. So no disrespect to the Jungle Cruise! But the song is really cute. I especially love the part about “the back of water.” And the fact that he uses “IMDB” as a verb, something that I do all the time.

Skipper Dan

I know this isn’t the best quality video and I am a little late getting it up (notice the Christmas tree in the background??) but my kids were playing Wii Carnival Games again last night and I remembered that I wanted to tell all of you about it!

We got Wii Carnival Games for Christmas and it became an instant hit. The whole family (from 5 to 60+) played it through Christmas (including both set of grandparents). On New Years Eve, the men and kids played. We didn’t come across a single guest who didn’t love Carnival Games. So what’s the attraction?

First, I think it is easy to learn. Because you get instructions before each mini game, you can pick up learning the game as you go. Second, the games are familiar–things like ring toss and strong man. And third, it’s an even playing field for everyone. Some games are skill and others are a little luck. Each mini game requires a different skill set. You may not be good at one but you will be good at something.

Depending on what game mode you select, you can do things like personalize your characters, win carnival prizes, and open new areas. Some of our favorite games are Dunk Tank, Day at the Races, and Skeeball. You can play quite a while without getting bored because there are over 20 games and 250 different prizes.

You can purchase Wii Carnival Games at pretty much any video game or electronic store that we have on Sunshine Rewards.

Make sure to mention Sunshine Rewards at least once! Videos must be less than 5 minutes long and should be submitted to Youtube. Leave a comment to this post with your SR number, the name of your video, and the YouTube link for your video. One submission per member.

Each week in May we will choose up to 5 videos to feature in our videoblog and will put up a poll for voting on the videos. The video with the most votes each week will win a $25 Amazon.com Gift Certificate.

But we also have consolation prizes! We will randomly choose one video that is submitted (even if it is not displayed in the contest) to win a $25 Amazon.com gift certificate. In addition, the staff at Sunshine Rewards will choose videos to win SR merchandise.
