Jelly Belly is branching out! Although they are best known for their jelly beans, they have been taking their candies to a new level by dipping them in chocolate. Chocolate covered jelly beans and orange slices? If you know me, you know that I am a chocoholic and these are right up my alley.

The Jelly Belly Chocolate Dips are various flavors of jelly beans dipped in chocolate. Flavor choices right now are mint, coconut, orange, raspberry, strawberry, and very cherry. You can buy them in individual flavor bags or the combination gift box seen here:

The consistency of the dipped jelly bean is a little bit like a chocolate covered raisin or chocolate covered dry cherry only with a yummy flavored jelly bean on the inside rather than a dried out grape.

The Dark Chocolate Orange Slices are Sunkist naturally flavored candy orange slices (made with orange juice) and are also covered in dark chocolate. These aren’t the sugary cheap orange slices that you get at the gas station but rather the juicy ones that actually taste like an orange.

She Shops Around 18: Be My Valentine

January went by so quickly that this was our first podcast of the year. Just in time for February, we decided to review Valentine’s Day merchants. Cindy led most of the podcast because she has been knee-deep in planning the upcoming Sunshine Rewards Valentine’s Day promotion.

* Flowers always work for Valentine’s Day and 1-800-Flowers has a lot of different options. Be sure to understand the difference between having your flowers delivered by FedEx and those delivered by local florists.
* Bath & Body Works and The Perfume Spot have good options for both men and women. I got my favorite new perfume (Pink Sugar) from The Perfume Spot. Bath & Body Works has a terrific new Godiva candle available only online.
* Crazy for Bargains is great for fun pajamas for women, men, and kids. Personally, I like the boxers for holidays. Romantic Gowns (new SR merchant!) actually has some great lingerie, including some cute pink and red sets that would be perfect for Valentine’s Day. (Here the mother/daughter podcast got a little bit awkward).
* Jewelry is traditional for Valentine’s Day and May Leigh has some nice options. Women seem to be wearing more jewelry these days, including multiple bracelets and necklaces at a time and mixing silver and gold. Things Remembered has both jewelry and other items available for personalization.
* You usually can’t go wrong with food (especially if the gift is for me). David’s Cookies makes homemade tasting cookies that can be ordered through the 10th. Ghirardelli is an impressive brand name with high quality chocolates.
* From the customer standpoint, these were all merchants that we personally like to shop through.

We’ve posted before on Sunshine Rewards about how much we love the products by Vitalicious. It looks like we are not the only ones! Here is a short clip from Good Morning America last week. Women’s Health Magazine featured the VitaBrownies as one of the top 100 packaged foods that you can buy.

I have to agree that the brownies are very filling compared to regular brownies. I alternate between the VitaBrownies and the VitaTops. Both give me my chocolate fix. The VitaBrownies shown in the clip are topped with walnuts, contain 100 calories, 2.5g of fat, 6g of fiber, and 4g of protein.

Have you ever had one of those days where you just felt crummy and couldn’t shake it? I spent most of my day on the phone with my mom and my best friend rehashing the same crappy thoughts and feelings over and over again. But then it all changed–thanks to my friends at Sunshine Rewards.

I was surprised with an incredible delivery from Dancing Deer Baking Company. Full of brownies, cookies, and cakes, it was exactly what I needed to turn things around. People toss around the phrase “it’s the thought that counts.” But I TRULY felt that way today. I can’t thank enough my friends at Sunshine Rewards for thinking of me on my birthday. You all consistenly go above and beyond any online community that I have ever seen. You touch each other in special ways, and I am honored to be the one receiving the “sunshine” today.

Mrs. Prindable’s Awesome Apple

A few hours ago I was lucky enough to have a delivery of a prize that I won in an NCAA contest. I was so excited when I saw that it was from Mrs. Prindable’s. In fact, I was so excited that I couldn’t even wait long enough to get a picture or any video for you. I literally ran to the kitchen and sliced it up. After eating more than I should have, I pulled out the camera.

If you are looking for a unique gift for someone, this is absolutely it. You can choose between different chocolates, different sizes, and different toppings. Some have nuts and some do not. I’ve tried just about everything that they have on their site and have not had a single thing that I was disappointed with. I’m a chocolate snob, and Mrs. Prindable’s is one of my very favorites.
