My kids are hard on shoes. I don’t know if it’s the running, the dragging their feet on the swings, or just the fact that they are kids. I’m amazed at how flimsy kids’ shoes are usually made. Don’t the manufacturers understand what kids use them for? I was pleasantly surprised when I received a pair of etnies for my daughter and saw how incredibly well they are made. And yet the pink made them just feminine enough for my little girly-girl.

The shoes were designed to stimulate walking on soft ground. This forces you to use muscles that you do not usually use when walking. I can definitely say that running on sand in Florida was much different than running at home in Indiana. But does it make a difference in how much you tone your muscles? We’ve seen a couple of different shoes come out that claim to improve your leg muscles more than regular shoes. I will say for the Skechers ones that they are at least cute!
