I am heading to the post office right now with all Disney gift cards that have been cashed out for through this morning. I am now out of cards. :(

The good news is that means I will be placing another order next week. Please do me a favor and let me know if you are planning on cashing out for a $500 card soon. Since I don't keep those on hand (we don't go through many of them!), I want to be sure to order one specially for you next week. :)

Thanks for the info! I'm not there yet... and I think I prefer the $100 cards anyway...that way I have one, and can hand one to my husband and one to my father...that way I'm not the one always pulling out my wallet :D

Hopefully I will reach the $500 level before my trip though!! Amazing! and to think I started SR in hopes of an extra $20 to take on our trips.

Amazing! and to think I started SR in hopes of an extra $20 to take on our trips.

Same for me! When I found SR, I thought I could make an extra $25-$50 for extras at the park! I was happy to think I would have a free $25!!

Last trip I had $100, this trip I already have $200 and I will be cashing out for an additional $150-$200 in GC!!

SR rocks!!:cooldance:

Thanks so MUCH Tricia!!! I just started a thread to ask about this and someone kindly linked me here.

I WISH I had enough for $500 ;)

Maybe next time! My goal is $1000 for the next trip, since I don't think we are going next year. Hubby said he is done for a little while. :(

I was just too worried about getting cards on time soooo I ordered them 2 months in advance.

I will only be getting another $50 card but each set is less money out of pocket.

Thanks SR!

I don't think we are going next year. Hubby said he is done for a little while. :(

Hope your hubby changes his mind - mine did. DH thought that a trip to Disney was going to be more expensive that a trip to the beach. Well, he got educated this year when we started looking into beach house rentals. We can stay at Disney, eat a sit down meal, fly down, and have plenty of fun money vs what it was going to cost us to drive to the beach, rent a house, eat breakfast and lunch at the house, eat supper out, and have fun money for the kids and DH. Did I mention that the trip to the beach was just a trip to the beach - no extra money to actually do anything. Who wants to be at the beach all week and not do anything. :rotfl: Well, maybe I might change my answer on that one if someone would take the kids and I could just lay on the beach and soak up the sun. :D

I cashed out for $400 a couple of weeks ago and just cashed out for another $50. Those will be used to pay for our package. Now I'm hoping to get another $100 before the beginning of September so we can have a little extra spending money.

What beach is that? Where? I've priced out both and believe me the beach is cheaper if it weren't I would be able to get DH to WDW a lot more often! :D

I won't be able to do 500, but I have 250 so far and am hoping for 300 before I cash out in a couple of weeks for our Sept trip! I've been doing more offers lately...too bad the daily surveys aren't cooperating :) I'll make it, somehow, though!!:sunshine:

I too have found Disney to be cheaper than other vacations. Especially when you factor in sunshine money!!

I will be cashing out for at least 1 $500 card in probably October for our December trip if you are buying for that far out. I'm at $843 right now and hoping for $1000 for our trip so I don't have to worry about running up the credit card paying for food.

I am at a little over $300 now. I am hoping to be able to cash out for $500 on Oct 1 prior to the cruise. If you are not buying that far in advance, no biggie. $100 cards spend just as easily as a $500!! :D

I am hoping for $500 once the end of the quarter comes. I was waiting until a special cashout...I don't NEED it right away...so if there is even a hint of one I might hold off.

There is an island outside of Charleston, SC - Kiawah Resort. I guess I always factor in SR money and Disney Visa Money also. But, until we rent a house, drive down, eat only supper out vs Value or Moderate Resort, eating out all 3 meals(snacks too), and plenty of fun things - Disney is a better value and it costs us less money. As I said earlier if you just want to sit on the beach all day(and believe me there is nothing wrong with that - but I know with 2 kids it does not happen) then the beach is less expensive. But, my kids want to do the day camps($75+ per child per day), something in the evening, and DH wants to play golf at $125+ per round. It adds up very fast. Atleast at Disney, I pay for the tickets and they can go to the parks and they have enough to do for the day that they don't ask for anything else. Maybe if I could talk DH into Virgina Beach or Ocean City - it might be different but I have never had any luck as long as I have known him.

Ah that makes sense, I was thinking where in the world are you going? lol
I can drive to the Jersey shore or Ocean City Md, Bethany Beach DE on a half tank of gas and get a beach rental for about $1000 give or take. Factoring in food and other expenses it's still cheaper for us to go to the beach then it would be to WDW (although we prefer WDW!)

Im sorry Tricia take me off the list, I just thought of getting a couple of Walmart gift cards to cover some the gas on going down there, so I wont be needing the 500 after all.

Thanks,
Chrissy

Wow, Walmarts with gas stations? Are there many on the way down to Orlando? We'll be driving down from Philadelphia in December and if we could stop at WalMart and fill up the tank using SR Walmart cards that would be ideal!

Make sure if you are cashing out for Walmart GC to give yourself plenty of time. I don't stock those like I do some GC so they will take a little longer to get to you.

Thanks Cindy for the heads up, I will be sure to order those ASAP, Im not sure of how many Walmart gas stations are on the way to Orlando, but we have one here in VA where I live and I was gonna fill up before we leave and we always drive to southern Ga and stay overnight there because thats where my husband is from and they have one there as well, but Im sure you should be able to find some along the way. It definatley is a good deal because they normally offer deals when you use the gift card, the last time we used it, it was like 3 cents off.

If you are comming on I95 trough Jacksonville. There is one at 4250 Phillip HWY Jacksonville FL . You can mapquest it or go to the Walmart site. Its store #3309. It takes you one street over from I95 but its easy to get back on the interstate. from there...... you should be able to make it to Orlando and WDW. Any question feel free to ask
btw.....the store is not open 24hrs though
