ALERT - N and N Labs - hoodia

I had a fraudulent charge this morning for $79.41 from N and N Labs :computer: This is from the hoodia offer that I cancelled in a timely manner and had a "oh, so helpful and friendly rep" on.

I am so po'd right now!! :computer: Of course they are closed for the holiday, I will be calling them bright and early when they open tomorrow and disputing with them.

Just wanted to warn everyone that did this offer to watch for the charge. This is exactly the kind of thing I was afraid of on the paid offers :(

Probably calling them won't do much sadly. I'd still call but I'd put in a notice/dispute with my cc today online to get the charge held and resolved by them. For some reason when the cc companies get involved they get results much faster than you and I.

There is a post on the DIS about this right now. Apparently there are quite a few complaints against this company.

I would agree that you should put through a dispute on your credit card today for this and then try to contact them tomorrow to try to get it settled. From what I have seen they haven't been very helpful with resolving the issues on this. I hope you get it all worked out. :sunshine2:

Yes I looked into it and it seems that it is the Pure Hoodia 7 day trial from Pure Health Hoodia with Green Tea. That is the one that everyone is reporting it is happening through although through different sites.

oh my gosh I have the same charge amount ,but its pending so I couldn't tell whom it was from. I did this offer back in april and cancelled when I was to. Now they go and charge me? wow! yep calling them and bank first time in am.

Yeah, mine is a pending charge too, so hopefully I can get them to remove it tomorrow morning. I did the offer back in mid-May, cancelled on time, never dreamed it would come back to bite me 6 weeks later! :confused:

Just tried to call hoodia " temperally disconnect ,thanks for calling" Did anyone else also have a $1.00 charge as well? I'm going into my bank this morning. I called this morning (800-757-1279) and talked with a representative. I gave her my cancellation # (41000) and she said "Oh, well that person is no longer with the company and she didn't cancel your account, do you know when you called?" So I told her the exact date and time, and that I was not happy with this situation at all.

She gave me a new cancellation number and said the charge will be reversed in 3-5 business days. So I guess I will wait and see. I was sure to get her name though and record the time of the call.

Hopefully it will all work out.

Me too...Just got home from my parents' house and found the same charge on my account! This is the second time this has happened to me when I've come home from vacation in the last two months....very frustrating...

I will try to call ASAP tomorrow morning and hopefully they will reverse charges - I'm also gonna call Chase and hopefully have them reverse the charges just in case Pure Health Hoodia doesn't. I love doing these higher amount rewards, but sometimes it seems it isn't worth the trouble...

Yeah, it seems very suspicious that the charges were made on a holiday when banks were closed and their offices were closed :(

It happened to me too!! Found the charge on my cc tonight. I cancelled that account in May and they are trying to charge me now! I don't think so!!

Back in on May 1 I did the pure Hoodia offer credit was $13.00 I cancelled in correct time time. Now this company is out of florida, diversified was what showed up on cc. however, this isnt who it is now its N and N lads out of utah. I called these ppl yesterday they said I signed up on May 18th. nothing was taken out of my cc on or near that date for this company. The pure hoodia is only one I did. so, Im a lil bit confused right now.

I would call N and N labs back and explain to them that you authorized a membership and charge to the other company on May1 and that transaction was handled and ended and dealt with. You never authorized this company to do anything with your credit card or with starting a membership in your name and you have the proof of this fact. Tell them you are going to be contacting the Atty. General in both your state and theirs as well as the police because they have now stolen your CC information from another transaction that you made on an earlier date. Essentially that is what they have done. If you signed up through a different company on a different date and they charged you later again through another company they are stealing your information, even if the two companies are owned by the same parent company. If I buy tires from Walmart it doesnt gives Sams the right to use my information to charge a set of tires also. KWIM?

I tried calling Pure Hoodia this am and they are closed on Fridays. I also called my cc and they will send N and N a letter saying I refused to pay. They can't put a block on just that one company so if I get another charge, I'll have to cancel that card.

It makes me nervous about trying other things using my cc.

This is what I had to do. I called Chase and they canceled my debit card and sent one out (I might even get it tomorrow!) and should credit my account the $79.41 in the next two business days...not horrible and I know that they will never try it again....sooooo frustrating but glad I'm going to get it worked out.

Yes, that's what it is. How can I tell you for sure?? My genius husband went and opened the package that came of it today in the mail for me :computer: Of course after I TOLD him that it was going to be coming from Utah and NOT to open it.

I'm not paying to ship it back, hopefully I can just write "rejected, return to sender" or something and the post office will take it?? :confused:

I had the charge show up on July 4 and got the stuff in the mail today.:headache: I called my credit card and they said there is already on dispute on it, which I didn't do. I'm wondering if the state of Utah or some other group is now investigating and is disputing all charges.

I will call the company tomorrow and do my complaining, too.

I can't believe how many people all got charged on the 4th! And we all signed up on different days. It looks very fraudulent that they waited until a holiday to make a huge batch of charges! :computer: I'm glad to hear that they are being investigated!

I called yesterday. They said they had a "computer glitch" and that alot of people were wrongly charged and sent out the product. She said she would take the charge off and to keep the stuff sent to me.

That's interesting, the woman I spoke with told me that they had a problem with all of the cancellations done by a former employee.

Whatever the story is, I'm just glad that my refund actually came through in a timely manner! :)

I am thankful that I used my prepaid card for this one and there were no funds left for them to be taking!! I cancelled MONTHS ago and they are still trying to charge.

One of the Ultima Green Tea things out of Wisconsin charged my card the other week. So they SAID that they will credit my card, but of course that card was cancelled, so I wonder how that will work!?!?

I called the company yesterday and was told that the account had a note that it was cancelled but was never actually cancelled. Go figure. The person I talked to said I should see a refund in 3-5 business days and gave me a "new" cancellation number of 41000, which is the exact number I got for my first cancellation. She didn't really know what to say to that.

We'll see what happens.

At least my cc knows not to let any more charges from this company through.

OMG I am so HEATED right now! I got the $79 charge on 7/4. I called on 7/16 to have it reversed. Okay, everything was fine I thought. I checked my account balance again today and it is STILL on there! I called back and this stupid girl told me that my credit reversal request was denied. She couldn't give me a reason or anyone else to talk to. All she could do was give me their p.o. box address to write a letter to the freakin owner.

I am sitting here in tears right now because I am so upset about this! I called my credit card compay and they are going to issue me a conditional credit and are sending me forms to fill out so they can file a fraud dispute on them. I am so pissed off right now. I really don't want to tell me DH though b/c he will tell me to stop doing SR offers all together. Ugh I'm so frustrated. Did everyone else's charges get taken off with no problems?

OMG, I am so sorry!! :( My charge did get taken off. I will have to check though to make sure they didn't throw it back on there. I hope it all works out. :hugs:

I know what you're saying about not wanting to tell your DH, mine was so livid about the charge and went on a big rant about how this was all a scam, etc, etc. :headache: Just what I needed when I was feeling guilty and freaked out enough :computer:

I really think that your credit card company will give you the money back and charge it back against them. If you can't even get a person on the phone to tell you what is going on, the credit card company is NOT going to be okay with that.

The funny thing about the Pure Hoodia offer is, I never received credit for this but I was charged the original amount AND the $79 on 7/4.

I called my cc and they reversed the charges. Hopefully that was a one time only thing and it won't happen again.

Another charge for August! I called and talked to Desiree and she gave me a fax number to send my statement over because 1) she's saying I never cancelled my account in May 2) I sent back the bottle I received in July (she said that doesn't cancel the account) and 3) she's saying my credit card was only charged $79.41 when it was charged $99.41!!

Credit card is getting cancelled today!

Ohhh, I'm so mad! I told her I was reporting her to the BBB. I work for an attorney and I'm going to see if he can whip up a letter I can fax along with my statement. If anyone wants their fax # it is
