I did it earlier today but I haven't seen credit yet. Im not suprised though because I expected it to take a day or so. I am stocking up and trying some new cookbooks because I am a terrible cook and I just cant seem to find recipes that we will like and that I can prepare. I did this one and the Good Cooks one. Hopefully this will help me :)

I did it yesterday and no credit yet, either. I'm glad to hear I'm not alone. I'm really excited about getting all these new cookbooks. I love to cook and am always looking for new things to try.

Janet -- did you do the Good Cooks book club? That's another good one!

I love to cook and really liked the thought that it told you what wine to serve with the dishes, hopefully it will credit!!!
Glad to know I am not the only one, too!!

Janet: Congrats on the 1000th post!!:cooldance:

I got this one because it seemed like a little bit fancier foods. The books I ordered through Good Cooks were mostly Southern recipe and family recipe books. Good old hearty meals. This one looks more like stuff you could get in a nice resteraunt. I'd like to be able to do those types of meals sometimes. Im limited right now to cajun dishes like Gumbo, jambalaya, shrimp stew, crab and corn bisque or dishes from my youth like beef stew, spaghetti and meatballs, prok chops. It will be nice to have some variety.

I so know what you mean. My guys like to eat the same way. Which it is good but to me gets old real quick!! Especially if you are the one having to cook it all the time!!:p

I am a cookbook fiend and have been looking at doing this offer. Will someone post a short review once they get the cookbook? I really need to join a cookbook club.

(keeping head down, avoiding missles....)
There were some heavy-duty shopping days for the office that sort of threw me up there. I did feel guilty for a bit. This month is completely "head down and get the desk cleaned" for me. I think it's mostly surveys this time around.

So, has anyone who did this offer had it show up yet??

Just an FYI guys that the 3.00 on this one posts immediately and isn't held until next month so it is a good one to do if you like cookbooks and want to build your account for the cashout. :sunshine2:

I actually got something in the mail from AMEX about this the other day. So I think it must be a pretty legit offer.

They have a lot of recepits from the Napa Valley in there. Restaurants I know about. I have seen it here too. I would say it would be cool to have.

I did this one last night and still don't see a credit -- should I be worried? I did get the confirmation e-mail last night though. Do I still need to wait before I do a trouble ticket? :(

No, don't worry the credit will probably show up in the next day or 2! I did this offer also and it took a couple of days for it to show!!

Got mine yesterday. I looked at it and now I want to cook everything in it! It actually had some really good recipes, and not too hard:angel:

What surprised me was that it was a nice big hardback book, not just a cheap paperback, thin book!

A great deal:sunshine:

I did this offer back in August (?) and got the cookbook and everything, but I keep getting these "zero charges" on my card from the food and wine cookbook people.
Of the last two, one was 11/29/07 and the other 12/17/07. Nothing charged--which seems strange. Anyone else notice these appearing from them?
Thanks:sunshine:

I received a card from them several weeks back saying it was time for the 2008 or whatever cookbook and that it would automatically be sent and your card charged unless you called them. I kept it out to contact them since I didn't want the new book, but then I couldn't find the card anywhere. My credit card # was stolen and subsequently canceled last year, so they wouldn't be able to charge me for it anyway; but I still was going to call them if I could find the number.
