I think I'm going to take the plunge and try to get a Wii for the kids for Christmas this year. Problem is, I have to wait until my Christmas Club check comes to pay for it. So I'll keep an eye on this thread and see if anything comes up when I am ready.

Ecost still has 6 Wiis in stock. (7 but I just ordered one). One thing though is that I was getting an error message online for every credit card I tried so I had to call in to order it. Not sure if you have anyone to mention that too Tricia but I tried 4 different cards and nothing online would work but it did when I called.

Shipping was only $12 which isn't that bad when you think how heavy it is. It also includes the sports pack to get you started.

Wii Sports? If so that's a $50 piece game plus remote, so that would mean it's only $19 more then if you went to a brick and morter store to purchase it. ($12 shipping is not bad, think of time and gas to get to the store and then worrying if one will be in stock when you get there)

If that's the deal then I tihnk it's a VERY GOOD package deal.
The Wii's usually run 249.99 and comes with one remote. Another remote is $40 but Wii Sports is a good deal bc it's the game and extra remote.

From what I have now researched...the Wii console generally comes with Wii sports to get you started as part of the package. The regular price of this, as far as I can tell is $249.00, so this price seems very high. I may be wrong though, since I just started researching this weekend.

I'm watching this thread since I'm not sure if the girls will ask for a wii for Christmas or not. I know they'd love one, but they seem to be already listing a lot of other things and I can't buy everything. I've seen them on ebay, but I'm a little nervous with a 3rd party involved. I'm going to keep watching and asking when I go to brick and mortal stores and we'll see.

Just tried ordering at Radio Shack. Web site shows in stock, but when I called they said it was out of stock, and they were in the process of updating the web site to reflect that. I got home a little too late, I guess.

Do you need the Wii gaming system ($350) to use the Wii Fit ($150 or less)?

Or are they independent of each other?

The Wii Fit sounds interesting and something I may do....I don't think we would use the gaming system.

Toys R Us has the Wii Fit bundle with Wii Ski in stock right now for $170. Sat at 8:20 am CST

For Toys R Us they are a little difficult to navigate to find on their site. You have to do a search on their site for "Wii Fit", then when that comes up you have to scroll down the left column till you see "Price" and click it. Then you have to choose $100 for it to show up.

They should be $89.99 (or $89.95, not sure which) at regular price. Some places are selling them with the mat and sometimes the silicone skin for the Fit at extra. HTH
