Does the edit option in User CP Work??

I have tried to unsubscribe from the volumes of emails I get everytime someone makes a new post on a thread. I have gone into user cp, edit options, messaging and notification options and Default thread subscription mode and choosen DO NOT SUBSCRIBE but I am still getting a load of emails. How do I turn that off??? Please let me know.

You need to unsubscribe from the threads you are subscribed to already. Otherwise it will continue.

I think you have to unsubscribe from the threads that you are already subscribed to. See if that works.

That's exactly what I do. Under thread, unsubscibe from thread.

I typically will unsubscribe right away after posting from a Shout out type thread or contest thread bc I know I'll get slammed with emails.

I keep it for the important threads like survey's, and other info I want to be updated on.

If I do wish someone a happy birthday or post in a thread I know is going to have a lot of replies, I immediately go and unsubscribe before I leave the thread.

Thanks for the heads up on how to fix this. Hopefully my email will get a break now!
