I am still waiting...I did get a postcard on it being delayed. Today, however, I noticed my CC hit so maybe it is good news and it is on its way. I will let you know.

Thanks for replying. Yes I got the same postcard about the delay. Seems like they weren't ready for Sunshine rewards orders.;) I hope they work well.

Same here............both the postcard and the credit card charge showed up a couple of days ago. Hopefully, that means they are soon to be shipped.

Just received mine in the mail today. Why did I think that there would be batteries included??

Make sure you've got some C cell batteries on hand; it takes 2.

Thanks for the heads up, Dude. Hard to believe that they wouldn't send you a complimentary pair to get started.

I've been away for the weekend, but my DH just got home and found the Pedi Paws package has finally arrived! In his own style, he stated it was made in China, so perhaps it was shipped from there, accounting for the lengthy wait! :rotfl: Anyway, I have two cats and two dogs who will be getting manicures this week.........will let you know how that works out. :D

I'm trying to be open minded about this product. I have five dogs and they each are having different types of issues with it but for the most part they're dealing with it.

Dog 1 - 6 y.o. She has always been good on the table with bathing, blowing out, brushing, and nail clipping. Even when I get a bit close and nick the quick she never really got to crazy. She does NOT like this machine at all (snapped at it when we were done) but put up with me using it on her.

Dog 2 - 4 y.o. Another who enjoys the grooming table. I've always had some issues with her feet but have been able to clip nails pretty well (without TOO much fuss from her). She let me do the front paws but is up in arms (or legs, I guess) with the back feet.

Dog 3 - 18 months This boy is pretty good on the table but would rather be licking me in the face while getting groomed. Having him stand still while doing nails with the Pedi Paws will take some time, but I think it'll go all right.

Dog 4 - 18 months. Littermate to the boy above. This is what would be called the ***** from hell. Hates anything and everything to do with grooming. While using the Pedi Paws on her the first time PD came running to see what was going on she was screaming so much. I'm actually surprised the neighbors didn't call the cops on me!

Dog 5 - 5 months. Didn't like the sound of the motor at all (and I think it's very quiet) and decided she needed to take a couple chunks out of my hand (well, she tried but it didn't happen). She's a bit of a mover on the table so it will take a bit more patience to work with her.

I'm a bit surprised that the motor isn't a bit more powerful (I did the upgrade). If you haven't taken your dog's (or cat's) nails down for awhile, I'm going to suggest that you actually clip them back so you're not filing down
bits that could easily be taken off with the snips or guillotine blade and finish off with the rotary. If you then work them regularly and don't wait until you hear them clicking on the floor, you should be fine.

My biggest concern with the Pedi Paws was that my dogs nails were actually able to make the rotor stop. It just isn't as powerful as dremels that I've used in past. I do like the fact that the cover over the rotor makes it much easier for me NOT to get hair caught up.

I'm going to continue using it this week and next and will do another report after that!

I got mine today and just finished trying it. I have mixed reviews too. I agree with Dude that it isn't nearly as powerful as I thought it would be (also have the upgrade). Sugar's nails stopped it from rotating too. BUT....I still feel this is a less traumatic way to go for both of us. I was always uneasy about how much to clip off and usually made at least one nail bleed. And once he got used to the noise he was fine. If nothing else, I learned how to better hold my dog for doing his nails by reading the instructions provided. So for me, even though it's not as powerful as I would like, I will keep using it. It's much easier for me than clipping.

Got mine yesterday as well but after reading the instruction a little timid about trying it. However will try later this week. The instruction advise to lay over your dog and be assertive and to only allow it to remain on the nail for 3-5 seconds. DH use it on his on nail and ouch, he snatched it back quickly.:p They also say to keep it up adn the animals will get use to it.
