AARP Offer Question

Anyone know if this offer will credit for a membership renewal? When I click on the offer link, the AARP page does have a place to click for renewals, and the renewal seems to be the same price as a new membership. Guess I have nothing to lose by trying it since I'm planning to renew anyway.

Ugh, I guess I will too. They don't have too many benefits, but the one i use the most is hotels, it does save me.
