Okay, we've generated ideas for decorating indoors and out. We've shared recipes and traditions. We know all of your favorite holiday tunes. We know which coupons and merchants you have your eyes on. So, what's missing? Well, we've spent so much time focusing on other people and other things that I think it's time we got a little selfish!

Tell us today what YOU want for Christmas. I know I have my own little wish list. What's on yours?

Post your Christmas wish in this thread to enter. We'll randomly pick one winner at the close of today's contest.

Standard rules apply:

Well... besides a rubber duckie

I would like something yummy from Mrs. Prindables... They all look so good... so the gift giver would also make the choice of what one to get for me, so I won't be burdened with trying to choose.

There are many things I actually need this year, but this year I am praying for health. My family has had a rough year, mom is fighting Stage 3 breast cancer, Grandma has a blockage in her carotid (sp?) artery and my aunt has sever vision issues caused by diabetes. The 3 women in my family are sick and I am here trying to keep the family strong. So this year for Christmas I am hoping for my family to get healthy.

It's so hard for me to be selfish. I would love one of those big flat screen tvs but I just can't justify DH spending that kind of money right now when all the tvs we already have work just fine.

Please Santa, I would like a Kitchenaid Wall Oven and Cooktop!! (trying to remodel kitchen) :)

There was a new Disney Monopoly I saw at WDW that I mentioned to my Mom (she went back again after we did).

I honestly don't know- we're mostly just shopping for the kids this year. I'd like some new clothes I guess, preferably from Lands End. :D

From Sr merchants, I'd pick the amethyst/white gold pendant from MJB.

I really wanted a Dyson Vaccuum (Hubby let me order from HSN last week), a new gold wedding band (my original set is a bit tight and not practical with the baby, I feel like I am going to scratch him) (Ordered this last week from Ebay), a DS with Dogs (got this from Target), a digital photo frame (my aunt purchased this for me)...so really there is nothing left that I want...World Peace maybe?

I want a housekeeper once a week for the rest of my life. My life would be longer, too, without the stress of worrying about getting the cleaning done.

My Christmas wish would be to be cancer free by the end of the year and that my friends/family have a healthy year to come.

My printer just died so if I could have a present like that ...a new one would be great.

I have a pretty short list. Like many, most of what I want can't be purchased.
Something concrete on my list is to finally be able to try Moose Munch!

I would love a white Christmas, but that only happens once in a blue moon here in TX.

We also need a new TV.

I want to be able to be financially secure - don't have to be rich, just enough to take care of my kids so we don't have to move out of "their" town.

What do I want physically? SOOOOO many things. I would like to have a new wardrobe. It is not a necessity, but I LOVE clothes. That would be fun! Or I suppose a DVC membership!

Would love a new flat screen TV to hang in the living room but don't think that will happen so I'll settle for making it a great Christmas for my kids!

I want an itouch. I'd love an iphone but can't justify the additional costs to our cel phone plan, so I'd be excited to get an itouch. It's quite sad really, everyone in my family has their own ipod. Dh and ds(10yo) have the classic video while ds (7yo) has the old photo ipod, although she's getting the new nano for christmas. I'm the only one without an ipod.

Nothing big - just a house to call my own!! They're so expensive here in So Cal - I don't think I'll ever be able to afford one!!

Something that I can actually get - some nice stemless wine glasses!

I would call her Vivian & I'd love her!! How can you say no to that face??

Or DVC membership....

but most likely I'll buy myself a blue topaz ring from MJB!! It's beautiful!!

What I wanted for Christmas is to know that I had a job - and I do. I've been waiting since August to see if I would be laid off, but found out last Wed that I'm safe - so now I can actually start my Christmas shopping.

My wish list has been the same for 4+ years but this year is special because I feel like I have been blessed with a new life essentially. Hubby is on a new job path, we have a new beautiful house, and so my wish this year is a baby. I want santa to bring me a baby that I can enjoy next year and we can finally have our family.

There are so many wishes I have for Christmas that are non tangible.

If we're talking actual gifts, believe it or not as techie as DH and I are, the one thing I have yet to get is a digital photo frame. I would want the biggest one they have! :)

I want a new Chevy Tahoo.

I sent my last kid to college and I have been working 2 jobs (3) if you count Sunshine-the last 8 years putting kids through college. My 2000 Chevy Blazer has over 100,000 miles on it. I usually end up driving what is left in the drive way. In the 27 years that I have been married, I have never gotten to pick out a vehicle, I always end up with someone's. The Blazer is actually our dd's and sons, that they drove in Marquette MI at college. The brakes have been replaced numerous times, because they use sand instead of salt. The black is so faded it looks grey. You can't see out the side mirrors. I walk to work every day, but I want a nice vehicle for myself. So this is just a Christmas dream--a nice big gas guzzler.

DH and all of his family have been asking what I want, and I am having a tough time coming up with ideas for myself this year.... I just keep thinking of more things for DD and even DH. I have wanted nice front loading washer and dryer for awhile, but since mine worked fine I couldn't justify buying them yet......well much to my surprise My mom found a good deal on them and bought them for me for Christmas. With a gift that expensive and nice I have a hard time wanting anything else. Plus my sister mentioned getting me a new digital camera (mine really is fine, but her newer one took much better pictures in the dark at Disney). My mom and sis and I am sure my dad are spoiling me so bad I might just tell DH not to get me anything. The only idea I have suggested at all is more cashmere sweaters. He has picked out some nice ones for me in the past.

I'm pretty fortunate to not need anything and I already have everything that I could possibly want but if my husband were to give me a big honkin' diamond ring, well I would not have to return it like I do most gifts....yes, let's just say I'm a very difficult person to buy for and I'm the first to admit it! :D

I would love to have a new side by side Fridge with the freezer drawer on the bottom. The through the door icemaker/water has broken for the second time on our present 3 year old Fridge. Disgusting, isn't it?

However, my dreams of a new Fridge have just been dashed by a leaking boiler in our basement and, according to the heater man, it can't be fixed. Luckily, it is still under warranty, but we have to pay for all the labor. Figures! So even though that is not want I wanted for Christmas, it looks like that's what I'm getting.:(

Well, I would really like some new stuff from Stampin' Up. I love their stuff but have put off buying anything for myself for the last while. I would like a new purse also. However, since my DH and I decided to take the kids to WDW for Christmas (we have been saving for almost 2 years!) I know that that is my gift. Besides, nothing is better than spending time together as a family! (but i would still like some new stamps!)

Not really feeling a 'want' for much, but I would just love new kitchen flooring - and really, it's needed too!! -- for my little boys, I want a Thomas train table, but the funny thing is, I'd probly play with it too, so I kinda want it for me also:blush:

I have 3 categories lol.

Realistically -- lots of goodies from Lush and Sephora, new clothes, Ugg boots, Coach purse, some DVDs

Dream on -- new house, new car, pay off all debt, free tuition to get my masters degree

Intangible -- health and happiness for everyone in the family and world peace :sunshine:

Being practical, I want job and financial stability. It's getting better, but I'm still a little ways away from being able to not panic every time a bill comes. I'd also like my car to keep being fairly reliable and to not be in any more accidents this year at least. Four in one year is quite enough.

Fun....my brother said my list was too cheap. I think there's only one thing that's more than $30. I told him to get me a Wii if he thinks that's a problem!

I would like to be able to have a young girl names Lori come to our house and spend Christmas. We are hoping to become Foster Parents for her. We met her in October and this feels so right. We are starting Foster parenting classes in January. These are the next classes. We have been approved for day visits by as our background checks have come through. I just wish that it all works out. This would be the best gift of all.

My wants for Christmas - pretty boring. I need new socks. (I actually wore a pair last week with holes in both toes!!) I could use some camis without shelf bras (hate them.) I love "junk jewelry." So that is always an option. If someone were to give me a pair of Sketchers or Crocs, I wouldn't complain.

Of course - I'd love a new car, a surprise trip to WDW that I didn't plan (and pay for) and a diamond tennis bracelet. But, that ain't happening! :rotfl:

Realistically, I don't need anything, but I do want a scrapbooking center. And since DH is on vacation this week we are going to start working on that now. Since we had the girls we don't have a spare room anymore, so we are going to set up a nice large corner in my bedroom for my scrapbooking area. This would be heaven to me.

Physically, I would love to be cancer free and not experience any more pain. That would be a blessing. If I could just get up and go when I wanted to without limitations, oh what a gift that would be.

May all of our dreams and wishes come true!

As silly as it sounds, I would love new windows in my house! The builder of our development put in the biggest garbage windows and the window company has since gone out of business (wonder why?). The seals on the windows began failing when the house was only 5 years old. The house is now 11 years old and we have water/ice in between the double pane glass. It looks terrible and is very drafty. We don't have the money to replace the windows so for the last three winters we've covered them in plastic.

So, if Santa would bring me new windows I'd be one happy gal!

I've been so blessed, and have more than one should wish for. But, in the spirit of this thread  I'd love to be able to travel, and show my kids the world.....it's important to have dreams :sunshine: Or I could use new cookie sheets

For fun....I would like a maid service and a professional chef to come to my house once a week. A new car would be nice too!:D

Realistically, I'd like a gift card to Red Lobster, some flavored teas, a nice pair of warm and fuzzy pajamas, a cheese plate, and a new can opener.

My Christmas wish is the deposit for Disney. Last night, my dh decides after weeks of hinting that I want to go back, that he is considering a vacation in May. Within a few hours, I had our dining all figured out, but I can't call and make the ressies until we have a deposit down on the package. I told him that I would give up all presents that would have been under the tree. Here's hoping!

I'd love some size 8 jeans and the bottom to fit into them! :D

OK, how 'bout some new toasty slippers? Maybe with Mickey on them?

Pooh's Pal
11-24-2008, 11:43 PM
Now don't laugh, I'd love a face lift and a neck tuck. Yes, when I got sick this past summer I lost 35 lbs and my face is sagging and wrinkled and my neck is starting to look like a turkey!! At least that's how I feel, DD says it's not that bad, but I'm sure she's just being nice. Go ahead and laugh now, I do every time I mention it. :D Realistically, I know I could never afford one, but I'd love to get rid of those wrinkles. Dang, getting old SUCKS! (oops, can I say that here?) :rotfl:

On a lighter side, I'd love more Disney Dollars and/or gift cards to go on my trip, 25 days to go and not enough saved, YIKES!
