I ave a great apple cranberry relish - I will get you the recipe when I get back from school. It's very easy to make and everyone liked it when I made it.

My mom makes the best one. It has cherry jello and nuts and celery and cranberries in it. She makes it every year. If I can talk her out of the recipe, I'll post it.

I buy it at Kroger now. LOL! It's one of the few premade things that I buy for the holidays because it is some of the best that I have ever had (next to Grandma's of course...but I don't trust her to give us the real recipe).

Here's the one I fix - it's from cooking Light and very tasty and easy

Cranberry Apple Relish

* 1 1/2 cups chopped peeled Granny Smith apple (about 1/2 pound)
* 1 cup packed brown sugar
* 1/2 cup white grape juice
* 1 teaspoon ground ginger
* 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
* 1 (12-ounce) package fresh cranberries

Preparation

Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil; reduce heat, and simmer until thick (about 15 minutes), stirring occasionally. Cool completely.

Heres my moms recipe, and its fantastic.

1 bag cranberries (crush and add 2 C sugar) let sit over night.

Add to mixture:
1 C celery chopped fine
1 C nuts chopped fine
2 C crushed pineapple
pinch of salt

Prepare 2 sm packages of cherry jello using the pineapple juice and water. Add the entire cranberry mixture to it and let it set up overnight.

Another great little side is to take green olives, roll in philly cream cheese and then roll in nights. Put in refrig for a couple hrs.
