I know it's probably been a wihle for most who did this offer (Free 2008 Calendar) in the past, but I'm planning on doing it later today. Exactly how fast do I have to move to get this made before the cookie expires? Should I just get the calendar made, clear cookies, log in again, and then order it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i ordered the calendar about 40 minutes ago and i was just wondering how long b4 it credits. when i did a vista print offer previously it credited pretty quickly but this one hasn't credited yet. should i be worried a little or does this one take longer to credit than the holiday cards? any answers to my questions would be greatly appreciated. :thanks:

I think I have mine almost figured out on my computer, so I should be able to make and order it fairly quickly! I labeled all the pictures for the months I want and put them in one folder. My furry little sister is such a sweetie and oh so photogenic!
Marcy, I just checked. It may be a manual because it's not listed in the fast creditting category. I think I'm going to reboot, clear cookies, and treat this like I would a shopping purchase in the hopes that will help.

Just wondering if this is a 2008 calendar (this year that's almost over) or next year 2009??

I went through the offer link for Free 2008 calendar and since it lets you choose which month to start with, I chose January 2009. Even if I don't get credit, it's still a great deal. I think mine was around $6.14 after shippinbg since I downgraded to the cheapest shipping method and added color on the bottom half.

I was checking out their Calendars as gifts, has anyone else ever gotten a calendar from them? I have a few questions.....

I did it when the offer first came out and I love it for my desk at home. I ordered 2 and sent one with DH to work.

An update here. I just kicked my family out after getting my Christmas tree set up and noticed I had my credit come in!

mine didn't credit yet and i did it the same day you did. i wonder if cindy or tricia can check into this and see if there is any way they would know if i am going to get credit for it or not. it's okay if i don't as i really liked the calendar i ordered but the $2 would be a nice addition to my account. any thoughts on this?:sunshine:

I really don't know, Marcy. I know on a lot of offers you can't file a TT. I think you just need to learn to be patient.

Marcy, I think if I were you, I would post your question in a new thread. Maybe it would get noticed a little better and Tricia or Cindy or Angie would be able to answer you

that sounds like a good idea but i would not know how to word it so it doesn't sound like the original thread or offer. any ideas or suggestions on how i should do this would be greatly appreciated. :thanks:

I think you just have to wait to see if it credits & if it doesn't, chalk it up to getting a nice calendar. Like mmm611 said, TT's shouldn't be filed for a freebie & putting a thread on the forum for your credit really isn't good for the merchants to see either. I'm sure Cindy, Tricia & Angie have seen this thread & if they had any insight as to what was going on they would either reply or let you know through a PM.
Posting a new thread everytime you don't get a credit isn't going to help, in fact, it could just hurt all of us....the merchants do read these forums & can pull offers & such if there is too much complaining, which, honestly, I have seen a lot lately. It's one thing to comment if you got credit or if you didn't, I'm sure that helps Tricia, Cindy & Angie, but to start a thread for each new offer?? That's overkill if you ask me.
Many freebie offers don't come through for many people & it's just something we have to try to remember. I know it's frustrating at times, especially if it's either a large amount or if so many others are getting the offer to come through. But what I remember to tell myself is that Tricia, Cindy & Angie are doing ME a huge favor by allowing me to earn money through this site. If a freebie doesn't credit, dang & yeah I'm frustrated, but I'm going to ask for help w/my computer & if that still doesn't help, then I'll remember what isn't crediting & move on. Shopping & surveys I'm not having any issues with...which others may be...so sometimes it's just the luck of the draw.

I wanted to apologize for my above post regarding a new thread. I wasn't trying to stir up a big bunch of nonsense or anything, just trying to help a fellow sunshiner. I thought that was the point here, helping each other. I see your point regarding new threads though and will be sure not to start any. So sorry to upset you. It wont happen again.

i completely understand what you are saying and i had not planned on starting a new thread on this as one already exists. it's just kind of frustrating when you do an offer, lay out money for something and it doesn't credit when you think it will. money is tight all over now so when someone complains that they didn't get credit for an offer after spending their money i think it kind of hurts their pocketbook somewhat (does that make sense). i will try not to complain about these things as much as i have lately and will remember that sometimes you get the offers and sometimes you don't.:thanks: for reminding me about the reason i joined sr in the first place-to shop, make some money and take surveys. have a wonderful day.:sunshine:

Yes I understand but what Jen was trying to say is your really only supposed to do the offer if your REALLY interested in it, so you would want the product regardless of receiving credit which would just be an added bonus!
I did the Vista card offer twice, it didn't credit the first time but I was so impressed as were others with my DD's bday invites I waited my 30 days and tried again for my other DD's bday. Some we get credit some we don't, some take a week, or even a month.

i did the offer because i was interested in getting the calendar (i get calendars for my kids for christmas every year) and this seemed like a good deal - the money was not the prime consideration but it just would have been nice. that's all i am saying. sorry to have started such a commotion over a vista print offer. will not do it again.:sunshine:

I think where this was going was from the above post. Questions about credits whether their posting/pending or not are not supposed to be asked/answered in the forum, that's what the TT process is for.
I also think this time of year we have more people shopping and forgetting the forum rules so it's been happening a lot more lately, where people are asking about credits in the forum (as Jen had said) when we're not supposed to. For SR to check into each individual question without a TT isn't going to happen, they have no way to match people and numbers up and most offer's can't be disputed anyway.

No commotion from what I think, just everyone needing a small reminder about SR policies and what can be posted/not posted and what can be disputed/not disputed.

You didn't upset me, however I think you may have misunderstood my post or read more into it than necessary. The forums are indeed here to help each other. And of course the point of the forums is to post new threads, so by no means did I mean you shouldn't post a new thread. What I meant, and sorry if this wasn't clear, was that if we all start new threads on offers we didn't get credit for this is not going to help, but hurt the forums.
Again, post on new offers, mention if it credits or not, as I'm sure this helps Tricia, Angie & Cindy know what's working & what isn't, but it also helps our fellow Sunshiners. However, like I said before, if the merchants & advertisers keep seeing us all complain about the $0.50 offers that aren't crediting they're not going to offer the $0.50 to anyone anymore.
Didn't mean to stir up anything, was just stating a point of what I'm seeing & thought I could add my two cents.

I remember you saying this in another thread and honestly, if it hadn't creditted I would be GLAD so long as it was still around in a few months. I want to make my mom a photo calendar but will have to wait till I can start it in 2010. I think she would really like one made of her quilts that she personally has made. But, she bought a 2009 quilt calendar in like June or July. I was going to shoot for this as a Mother's Day gift for her since she usually orders her quilting calendar so early. I guess I'll just have to hope that another free calendar offer comes up later!

You can also make a purchase from Vista when you are ready to make a calendar and not wait for a new calendar offer.

I am sitting here reading this thread and I have to say AHHHHHH!! :computer: We all come here trying to make some money for Disney and other "luxuries" in life. In no way should SR be considered a job and nobody should have to worry where their next 50 cents is coming from! I am lucky enough to say that I have also made some AMAZING friends that I can call on whenever I needed them...Tricia and Cindy are so busy helping us obtains our "dreams and wishes" !
can someone please answer my questions regarding the vista print calendar offer. :thanks:
I am sure if somebody had an answer they would answer...they may need more than 12 hours which includes dinner hour and sleep time for most of us.
I think you just need to learn to be patient.I think a lot of us on here need to learn this...good things come to those who wait.
Marcy, I think if I were you, I would post your question in a new thread. Maybe it would get noticed a little better and Tricia or Cindy or Angie would be able to answer you
I know Tricia reads all new posts so I don't think making another complaint thread is going to get an answer. Squeaky wheels don't always get the oil. The threads just get locked or deleted.
the merchants do read these forums & can pull offers & such if there is too much complaining, which, honestly, I have seen a lot lately.
AMEN!
i will try not to complain about these things as much as i have lately and will remember that sometimes you get the offers and sometimes you don't.
Again something we can all work on!

Maybe we should all review the stickies that we are always telling our new friends to look over!
if we all start new threads on offers we didn't get credit for this is not going to help, but hurt the forums. if the merchants & advertisers keep seeing us all complain about the $0.50 offers that aren't crediting they're not going to offer the $0.50 to anyone anymore.
LOL, yeah, but I want it FREE (or very, very cheap!)
Let's remember that we are here to shop, do offers we are interested in, make some "luxury money", and have fun! REMEMBER, if one person upsets a merchant then we all lose out....
I think Jen and April were just trying to help out with some SR info...others took it personally.
NOW...can I get back to my shopping??
