Daily Survey Technical Issues Thread

I hate to ask this, but this is unusual, so I'm wondering if the problem is my computer. I haven't rec'd credit on Friday for Thursday's survey or credit for Friday's survey. Have these not been credited for some reason or do I have another issue going on? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for posting. I thought I took one Friday also but when I didn't see the credit, I began to wonder. Maybe they will appear later today.

Hmmm, I just did the one on ins. co's (a 3rd party site that we see a lot of) and I didnt' have that problem. Finished with the congrats screen. Is everything up to date on your pc? Just a thought...

deana-i totally feel your pain and frustration. that happened to me twice this morning with my ds (thru psb-survey company) and i reported both to gf with an error report. for some reason this has been happening a lot thru this one specific survey company and nothing has changed on my computer so i am totally mystified as they used to redirect correctly in the past. if anyone knows why this is happening, could you please share your insight. :thanks:

I ran into those on Saturday and one this past Sunday.
One was my fault. At home I have a new mouse and on the side
of the mouse is a clicker. If I hit it accidently, it pushes me out of a survey.

I hate waiting until 8pm to try to get one, then all day you think about, will I be able to get one. I just was able to get my first one in the day for over a week, it was the brainjuicer, which acts funny at times in Firefox, I had to do it twice to get it to credit, not sure why but this survey lets you back in, at lest in FF. Its a good one, I would suggest do it in IE, of course GF does not warn you which browser works better or which survey. I am sure its out there so try to get it.

if anyone has the option that says "i have cable or satellite television" DO NOT try to take this survey with firefox. it requires IE or netscape, but you won't find that out until you've already clicked through and then it's too late-you have to close out and the option disappears. now i have no options :(

GF is not as strict with the 24 hour rule as OTX, which won't let you access a survey until 24 hours have passed. GF just asks that you only do one DS per day. :sunshine:

DH got that yesterday and was able to complete and get credit. I'm sorry that has caused some trouble. Hopefully, you will have better luck with another one!

Like sqromano said I was just able to do it as my DS and completed it with a congrats page.

HOWEVER I will say I did get that page at 53% and what I did was "tab" down to see if it would highlight anything, it moved to another page, so then I used my browser's back button and selected 2 before that and it loaded and was able to continue on with the survey.

The only thing I can suggest (bc things are crediting properly so it's not your cookies/settings) is to make sure all adobe, active x, your internet browser, windows, etc are all up to date or have the latest updates etc.

:thanks: for your suggestions, they are truly appreciated. what's really weird is that i took a sm survey earlier, finished it but got the cache-no-cache page so i took the chance and refreshed the page and got the congrats page and got credit for that survey. guess my computer is just being moody. we all have days like that.:rotfl:

I spent over a 1/2 hour working on a survey about the economy and spending habits only to get a screen that said "This survey is closed" and when I clicked the link the page itself closed! :computer::headache:

i get that same messge a lot of times when i do my ds and my sm surveys. to go on to the next page try refreshing the page and see if that helps. when i have done that in the past, sometimes i do get the congrats page, sometimes the survey goes back to the beginning and sometimes i get the you do not qualify page. Greenfield does NOT consider it a problem if you get a generic thank you page instead of the SR page. This is intentional on their part. It just means that the company hosting the survey is not sending real time results but rather will send them to Greenfield all in one batch in a couple of weeks. We have to delete out all of the complaints that are about generic thank you pages because Greenfield does not accept them.

Within that paragraph, there was a trick answer to the first question which I found and answered correctly.

A couple of pages later, there were more questions and two sections where I had to give an answer rather than multiple choice. I provided my answers but somehow they didn't get registered because the survey kept telling me to answer those two specific questions. I eventually closed out as I was getting no where.

I am curious to know whether there were many other hidden answers along the way. Something different to keep me on my toes. The little things in life I find exciting. :rotfl:

I got this survey after I did the healthcare facilities one. I don't actually recall if there were any other trick questions besides the initial one. I did make sure to reread all the instructions before answering though. I didn't want to be booted out. I did get the SR congrats page at the end. I was able to complete this survey and get the congrats page. Except it had me rate my gift/significant other as one of my children. there were quesitons at the end recalling questions from the beginning but nothing major.

I got a Brain Juicer that was hanging up and not loading pages. I just closed out and submitted an error report to GF so they can fix it. I never even got past the initial questions without it hanging up. 2 hours is a long time for $.90.

I got this one this morning too...close it out, it goes nowhere. I was 40 min. into it and only 15% complete when I got an error page that told me to click to reload and refresh my browser....it did nothing after that but a blank white page. I also submitted an error report to GF.

I had the same thing happen. Every page loaded slowly, but I was doing other stuff at my desk, so didn't worry too much about it. Then got to a page that just wouldn't process. Said an error had occured and it needed to go back to the previous question. After reloading three times I gave up and came over here to see if it was my connnection or the survey that was the problem. :computer:

This is the one that I used that told me to click and refresh my browser.......after doing this, it would not load and I closed it out. I wonder though if it is attached to my ID?

i got the brainjuicer survey too, and got an error page before it ever got started. i kept clicking the link to restart it, but it didn't work. after about 10 clicks, i closed it out.

on a happier note, all of my weekend surveys credited! :banana:

Good Luck...I see that many of us had the same problem with this survey, so I'm sure they are going to get plenty of reports about it. Happy to say that they have been pretty good about compensating me for the ones that I've reported. :D

I had the same problem with this brainjuicer survey. It just sat there and would not load at all.

i got the brainjiucer survey on new idea for shopper incentives and it was suppose to take 10 minutes well it was more like 45 because it tool the 15 pages with idea so long to load anyway and finished it nad then clicked on the link to finish it nad go the MSIExploere page not available page. :computer:

just took a survey about asthma meds...it stalled at the end on the demographic questions so i clicked the arrow button a second time and it gave me a white page that said i'd already completed the survey and an ok button, which i clicked, and it closed the window! no SR congrats page! :(

Think I had this same one but no issues. Funny, tho, it said it had a commercial - I went to the next page to watch it, but instead it asked me if I had viewed it. I said no, then got classification questions and congrats page. Odd. But ok with me that it worked that way!!:cool:

OMG. I just spent waaaaay too much time on a survey that said it was going to take 5 minutes. Then, when I finally finished it, I got this. It was a survey for technology....

Geez. I just wanted to hit $100 so I could get a WDW gift card for my trip this summer. 2 bum surveys in one day is 2 too many. :(

I also couldn't get this one to work in FF earlier today.......every time I hit the next button it would refresh the same page.

I tried it tonight in IE and was able to complete it and got the congrats page. Fingers crossed it credits.

According to Greenfield, the movie ones will credit at a later date even if you do not get returned to the SR page.

It can take a couple of weeks for the movie ones to come in. They wait until the study is closed and then give us all of the credits at once. I don't really know why, but for some reason it's the deal that they have with that particular advertiser.

I just had the same thing happen to me. It was the OTX survey for tv services. Very frustrating to work all that time and then tell you that you do not qualify.:mad:

I did an OTX and when I got to the end, it took me to another survey and it started all over. Then it went to the pages that tell you, no survey's available.

Also my son just did a survey for downloaded music, and at the end it said only one submission allowed. He said he never did one one for a music downloading site.

Has any one had a problem with the OTX not crediting lately? I did one earlier today (5/23) about 5 hours ago and yesterday (5/22) and it still hasn't credited. It can get very frustrating sometimes doing these surveys sometimes, as we all know. Hopefully they will credit so I can be in the Trifecta contest.

I have only ever seen that happen once, so I'm not sure what to tell you, other then it may be the version of software that your running. Which I have no clue unless I was to compare it side by side to mine.

i am running windows xp and using internet explorer 6.0 (i think). does that info help you out at all? i seem to get the cache-no-cache page whenever i do psb surveys and sometimes when i refresh the page i get the congrats page but most times it will either take me back to the beginning of the survey again or i get an error message. maybe surveys just don't like me anymore since i've been doing them for a long time now. :rotfl:

What!!! GRRRr! I guess it just didn't like me:( The first time I put in my address, no credit. The second time I thought maybe it'll credit if I don't put in my address and that's when I got the message. And the survey was soooo long.

If you go to the bottom of the Greenfield page in the surveys dropdown menu, there is a link to click to report problems. You need to copy and paste the URL and the page where there is a problem, as well as giving a description of the problem. All the directions are right there. I have found it easiest just to open a new window so that I can copy and paste without losing the page. HTH

I just got this one (and one screen did only have A & C instead of ABC) but it let me total up 10 between the 2 and continue on. I was able to finish the survey and get the congrats page, so maybe it's fixed? (or at least somewhat fixed since I still only had 2 options.)

Just wanted to post that I was able to successfully finish that insurance one, around 45 minutes ago. Some of the transitions were VERY slow loading, like over a minute to two or three. It was a very slow & time consuming survey to take, but interesting.

I think if you are on dial up this would be a good one to skip, but on cable/dsl and you don't mind waiting, it was interesting. At least a visually appealing format!

ETA: Mine was the 78 question one, not the 47.

I'm so sorry this survey didn't work for you. I just completed a heartburn OTC DS and got the SR congrats page. Maybe you had a different one but it sounds the same. Could you possibly have done it before? Good luck getting another one!

This very same thing just happened to DH TWICE. He tried to refresh and it started over and it stalled in exactly the same spot. He reported it to GF and hopefully they can get it fixed. After that he did not have any surevys left :(

I am so angry!! I just did a GF DS about computers, it took 25 minutes!! I did the pre-qualify question, then all the survery questions, then at the end it does more classification questions, about 5-6 of those. at the end it says Thank You... but directs back to the SR you didn't qualify page! :confused:

PLEASE tell me that is an error and I will get credit for that???

I just got the stupid sleep aid survey and went through the whole survey including watching commercials twice and it took me over 30 minutes and then gave me the same message others got about not qualifying! The last question I answered was whether or not there was anything else I thought they should know about the sleep aid. Aggravating!

The good news is that we get credit for about half of the "problems" like this that we submit to Greenfield. So you can take another one today and have a chance at more leftover credits later. :)

Just tried a DS on cell phone usage, But got stuck on a question about cell phone carrier. List of carriers with check boxes, but mine was not on the list, there was a spot for other (please specify). I typed my carrier into the box, but there was no check box next to other, and when I hit submit, it came back that I did not answer the question.

If you have a popular carrier you should be ok, if not just know you may get stuck on that question (#12). It looked like a fairly short & simple survey.

Reported it, so hopefully they can fix it.

I just worked on a survey about a new building toy for a big company. I got to a point where I had to say why I didn't like a scene from a commercial. It then gave a white screen saying I didn't qualify. I never got sent back to the SR page. I definitely took my time and answered all questions completely. I filed a report, so we'll see what happens.

I did this same survey, and it went to the congrats page and took me back to SR, I found out the hard with the videos surveys, if you do not give it at least 25 minutes, or longer it will do that. It is a real pain but I have learned the hard way. Anytime a survey has this format make sure you keep track of your time, or it will bite you. Hope this helps anyone taking this one today,

I've been trying to do a ds today, and have actually had boxes that I could check...BUT when I click on take a survey, I get the little watch thing, and it does nothing. THEN when I finally X out to try again, it takes that option away for me to click even though I never even got to the survey??? I was having problems with My 2 Cents yesterday too and DS this am was weird...not even having any boxes to check...

Is something going on that they're working on, or is it just my computer for some reason...never had these problems before, and every other aspect of my computer is fine right now btw...

No it is not your computer, Monday morning is a bad time for all surveys, I had that happen to me today, I just keep logged in on the survey page with no options, go back with my back arrow and sometimes a suvrey will pop in for me. GF just has not really loaded new surveys for this month I think. If they do it is just one or two. I have not had options is a while.

The same thing is happening to me too and I know it's not my computer. For whatever reason GF must be having some tech issues that are affecting some and not others. I tried for a DS very early this morning (4:30 am) with no tech issues (no surveys for me), but when I starting trying again just now have the tech issues. I'm sure it will get straightened out soon.

I was a little suspicious when it came up as a survey, but I took a chance and it didn't give the congrats screen. I did report it just in case it helps GF pull it.

He usually enjoys the movie surveys, but this one was long and the questions were not really worded well for teens. It sounds like exactly the one I took last night for Your 2 Cents. I did get credit the successfully completed page, then the AMPS and got credit. Sorry that you didn't.:confused:

You should report it thru the link on the SR Greenfield survey page. I never report a survey thru the Greenfield link. I open another window and go thru SR to report any problems I have - that is the only way you might get credit from Greenfield. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

AARGH!!! :computer: I just got the same one! I definitely didn't go too fast, and I have no idea how I can not qualify after I complete all the classification questions. A tip to anyone else - I had a few questions in French that I still answered. If your survey goes to French then back to English, run far away! :headache:
