We're running a little slow here at SR today. :) Angie is celebrating with family, Cindy is sick, and I just returned from church. So today's contest is going to be an easy one.

Favorite Christmas movie quote. It can be the one that makes you laugh or makes you cry or just sums up Christmas most for you.

I'll randomly pick one post made before midnight.

Standard rules apply:

Well, in Whoville they say that the Grinch's small heart grew three sizes that day. And then the true meaning of Christmas came through, and the Grinch found the strength of ten Grinches plus two.

I have 2, one goofy, one serious:

Lucy in Charlie Brown's Christmas -
"Ugh! I've been kissed by a dog! I have dog germs! "

"And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, 'Fear not: for behold, I bring unto you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the City of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.' And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host, praising God, and saying, 'Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.'"

1. When Buddy the Elf says "When I'm around you, I get all warm and my tongue swells."

2. In A Nativity Story, when one of the Wise Men looks at the baby Jesus and says "God made into flesh." I get the shivers (in our church we call them God bumps, not goose bumps). :)

Mine is a bit odd but it is from the Alaister Sim version of A Christmas Carol.

From the Polar Express, my favorite Christmas movie.

Said by Santa: "The bell is a wonderful symbol of the spirit of Christmas ~ as am I. Just remember the true spirit of Christmas lies in your heart."

I love It's A Wonderful Life. I think it is amazing that that movie is so old but still so applicable today. I love it. ANyway I like this scene!

Man on Porch: Why don't you kiss her instead of talking her to death?
George Bailey: You want me to kiss her, huh?
Man on Porch: Ah, youth is wasted on the wrong people.

This one cracks me up every time from Christmas Vacation

CLARK: Hey. If any of you are looking for any last-minute gift ideas for me, I have one. I'd like Frank Shirley, my boss, right here tonight. I want him brought from his happy holiday slumber over there on Melody Lane with all the other rich people and I want him brought right here, with a big ribbon on his head, and I want to look him straight in the eye and I want to tell him what a cheap, lying, no-good, rotten, four-flushing, low-life, snake-licking, dirt-eating, inbred, overstuffed, ignorant, blood-sucking, dog-kissing, brainless, d***less, hopeless, heartless, fat-a**, bug-eyed, stiff-legged, spotty-lipped, worm-headed sack of monkey s*** he is. Hallelujah. Holy s***.

And as for good clean ones, I love this one from Miracle on 34th Street, it reminds me that Christmas is what you make of it.

Oh, Christmas isn't just a day, it's a frame of mind...
