My dd (3) has gone twice, once at the castle at MK and once at DTD. The castle location is nicer but the wait gets very long! If you want to go there I would make a ressie for 8 or 9am. I'd make the ressie when you do the rest of your adr's. I would suggest getting a dress before you go (if your dd wants a princess dress) to save $$. The last time we went my dd just had on jeans.
You don't need to bring a comb or brush, just make sure her hair is clean. You can tip your fairy godmother in cash after if you would like. You and your dd will both have a good time, bring a camera to take lots of pics. My dd loved feeling like a real princess!

This is before MNSSHP last year. (Sorry about the red-eye)

We took both my DD's last year - the week it opened in the MK castle location. It was fantastic. We did the Crown (hair and nail) package (although the nails were fake press on ones that didn't last long, but the girls loved them while they had them) and I really felt it was worth the money. We used a gift card from SR to pay for it, LOL! :sunshine: They didn't wear princess dresses because we went in September and it was HOT and STICKY and both of them couldn't fathom the thought of putting a dress on for the afternoon (they were aged 4 & 7.5 at the time). As far as how far out to book...I'd book it as soon as you know what day/time you want to do it. It was a fairly new experience at WDW when we went, so it was pretty popular and you definitely needed a ressie to do it (they were turning away very disappointed walkups when we were there). I'm not sure if that's still the case. I think you could book it 180 days ahead of time(??). We really enjoyed the Magic Kingdom location - it was so fitting to be in Cinderella's Castle. And yes, they did a fantastic job. They absolutely doted on my girls and made them each feel like they were the only "princess" in there. It was the highlight of our trip for all of us. (even DH agreed it was a great experience)

thanks ladies! LOVE the picture! that is too adorable! DD is going to have a ball there, lol. i figure with her being 11 years old (not that there's an age limit, but you know how tweens & teens can be, lol) and really not being a frilly, girly-girl, this may be her one and only trip to BBB. she said she wanted to do the castle package for $49.95. it was too cute, she tried to get me to make the reservation yesterday but i told her i needed to wait until the june park hours come out, so i know what day we'll be at MK. she wanted a reservation RIGHT THEN, lol.

Thanks! I think that's so cute that your dd is so excited! I hope my dd still wants to go BBB when she's that age!

you know, i didn't think she cared anything about it, but when she was looking at the brochure, she made sure to put it right in front of me and point out the package she wanted and asked if she could bring me the phone, lol. this is the girl who JUST started playing with baby-doll type dolls last year, lol. now she's nuts about american girl dolls. she's definitely unique.
