Surveys will be a bit delayed. <sigh> I got kicked out of the house with only 10 minutes notice to get it cleaned and get my computer. I've been here 30 minutes and they haven't shown up yet!!!

It is so hard to get up and go with kids. We were trying to move with a 5, 3, and 6 month old. Trying to keep the house withing quick cleanability was very difficult. Hope you have a good showing!

Good luck with your showing. I hate short notices, too. Once, we were just about to sit down to dinner...fish...when we got the call. I never cooked fish, again, until house was sold. LOL House stunk and we were hungry.

Did the people who viewed the house that night buy the Fishy House?

I can't remember. Doubt it, unless they really liked fish.:rotfl: With that house, I kept having offers fall thru. Couldn't get financing, etc. Thought I would never get it sold.

Sorry that kept happening to you. When my parents were house hunting they bought the second house they viewed and that house was to be offical listed the next morning! That was a fast sell! a little too fast, because it then took almost 60 days to close because the former owner was not ready to move out that FAST!

So some just Sell fast others take some time, But I know that SunshineGrill will get a buyer very soon, so she will have more time for SR!, and bring that stress level down.

Wow, only 10 minutes of notice. I don't think I would have been able to do that when our house was up for sale esp with the 2 kids. It is sooo hard to keep the house "picked up" with two small kids. They just don't seem to understand that there toys have to stay in containers. LOL Good Luck and I hope this is the one.

Awww - that's cruddy. When DH was forced to relocate, it took us 6 months to sell our house. That was 6 months that we were making payments on two places. I hope you find a buyer very soon. :hugs:

This is even better. I don't think that the agent showed up to show it. I saw a guy pull in and sit in the driveway for about 10 minutes. As I pulled out of my spot from down the street, he started to pull out and drove around the neighborhood. I think he was here to meet the agent and the agent didn't show!!!

I am here to give you a little hope Tricia-

we had the RUDEST agent and couple looking at our house- first they didn't show up or give me a call to let me know they weren't coming, so I got out of the house with the kids for nothing. Then the next time they scheduled to come, my neighbor told me they trotted their THREE DOGS thru my house! I was ready to tell my agent to rip her a new one, when they called to see the house a THIRD time. And get this - the agent forgot her lock box key, so we had to go BACK to the house to open the darn door for them.

Guess who ended up buying our house!

So, sometimes you just never know....maybe this person will be the one who ends up buying your house. I hope so! I know how stressful it is!

oh that would just FLOOR me! The agent would be getting quite a phone call from me  that is unprofessional and irresponsible - on top of the insufficient notice! What a mess!

I really hope that you get someone to bite soon - we're all pulling for you!

That is completely unnacceptable!! I would have a good talk with your agent! In the day of cell phones, if someone is late a call is a common courtesy. Personally if these people ask to see the house again or put in a bid, I would refuse. They are going to be the buyer that will give you problems.

Someone better will come along. Happy thoughts:sunshine: :sunshine2:

I agree with your statement. We had a buyer that was just unreasonable on everything and in the end - 3 days before closing - they decided that they really didn't want to buy our house and move. They were going to remodel their house. They were a cash deal so we thought everything would go good - they had the $$$$. The couple that bought our house are financed to the hilt but they wanted a house and yard. Now if they would only mow the yard. :rotfl: I have to pass my old house on the way to my cousins house.

I know what you mean....I just CRINGE when I pass our old house. It rarely gets mowed. I'm glad our little old lady neighbor passed away shortly after we moved....she'd be having fits!!! She's probably rolling in her grave! Her yard was immaculate and the people who bought her house don't keep it up either. Very sad! I know I'd cry if I saw the inside of our old house! :( It was a very old house but we re-did almost every room ourselves and put a lot of hard work and love into it.

I went by our old house a couple weeks ago. Yikes. We have only been gone 3 months and it already looks bad. Granted, the neighbors don't help the situation cause 2 out of the 4 of them are total white trash slobs, but they had their car parked on the grass (the sod we spent so much money on in February), my roses looked half dead and sad....it just looked shabby. :( Oh well....it's not mine anymore, so no complaining.

I laugh cause we brough at the feb and we have been SOOOOOO busy riping down wall paper , painting ,putting in floors , new fans , we light fixtures and such . But the yard has gone by the waste side . I pray our peoplearn't comming back thinking how we don't do anything ....LOL I swear though sometimes you get so caught up on the inside you let the outside go .

BTW sunshine girl did they ever come to look at the house ?

Oh I understand that there is things that need done on the inside. I know for a fact that they are working on painting the whole house. I had every room painted an off white / beige color because I knew that we would be selling it. I didn't want to have any wild/bright colors that would drive someone away. What I don't understand is why they just don't mow the yard. The last time I went by the grass was taller than the walk way lights. I had a really nice flower garder near the upper portion of our yard and the weeds are taller than the fence posts. :rotfl: They are a younger couple that has rented all of their lives and I don't think they knew what they were getting into. They wanted a big yard out in the country. When I went over to pick up some mail, the new owners asked me how long it took for us to mow the yard. He was amazed that it took 2 hours on the tractor to get the yard mowed. I look for our old house to go back on the market real soon.

I know what all of you are going through with realtors and buyers and such. when we sold our house 3 years ago it was just crazy. We had a huge old house that had 5 doors leading to the outside. we had moved out of the house so it was vacant when it was showed. I went by the house just to check on things when i found 3 doors unlocked and a fourth door hanging wide open. this was in FEBRUARY with snow on the ground!!!! Our agent got an earful from me. we moved at just the right time. the neighbor beside us painted their house ORANGE!!!! a neighbor directly across from us painted their front porch neon green. the neighbor behind us quit mowing his yard and starting dumping his trash in the back of a broken down pickup. it was a great house. just in the wrong neighborhood.

I'll never forget when we were trying to sell our house by ourselves. We had a couple come to look at it who seemed extremely interested. We were just about to start talking "turkey" so to speak, and one of our cats came darting out and ran in front of the wife. He's a black cat and I guess she was very superstitious because they flew out of there like a bat out of hell!

Having to be ready at a moment's notice with children is never easy. Ten minutes is a bit ridiculous. I hope you find a buyer soon. I hate dealing with any part of the buying/selling process. It is a real pain.

Hopefully this is THE one.

I have to laugh at all the talk about the new owners not taking care of the place! We just moved (in fact this is the first time ive been online since 8/2) and i got a summons in the mail today at my new house for my old one!Seems the new owners havent mowed the yard and that town is REALLY picky about that. They havent updated their records yet and we closed on the house on 7/23!!!! So we got the summons with a court date! :(
Monday they will be getting an earful from me.
BTW its nice to be back! What have i missed?
