Just ordered and got sucked into the extra $5/snuggie for thicker ones.

THEN the clip one got me BIG time. Said if I ordered three (which is what I wanted) i would pay 6.99 shipping and not 7.99 and that would cover all the clips. Think that means 6.99 for all of them? NO! I paid 20.98 for shipping for $20 worth of clips. It was probably my fault for thinking I was getting a deal...

Just wanted you all to be aware when you order...

Thanks for passing this information along. I definitely want people to know what they are getting.

YEAH!

Don't get me wrong on the snuggie...I definitely wanted the heavier one with pockets. Why have a snuggie with no pockets? :rotfl:

I just wanted others to watch the shipping on the clips. Hoping they are good. DH needs one for his phone but we also want them for the walkie talkies DH just bought for the cruise.

Be careful when you order the Snuggies. It's a buy one get one deal so when you had to put in the number you wanted I put 2. I ordered two sets! Not 2 snuggies. I had a duh day yesterday.

Are these manual credits?

Are these manual credits?

No, they should show as pending fairly quickly unless you ordered very early on. We set it up for autoposting after it was already live.

Go ahead and open an account question trouble ticket for me and include all of the order detail in the text box including the complete order confirmation email. I will see what I can do.

I'd love to order the Snuggie, as I really think it is something I would use...but the page that you put the credit card info into is not secure. I have noticed this on many of the as seen on tv offers, which has prevented me from ordering several times in the past as well...I'm wondering if I am the only one concerned about this.

Is there a way to communicate with the companies that provide these offers that they might get more orders if there pages were secure.?

Just wondering. I would order otherwise.

Thanks

I see the SSL, Secure Sockets Layer Seal right on the page.

I also noticed with my new software that it's not on the bottom for me anymore it's up at the top in the address bar usually. I noticed that on several different purchases and I went looking for it and it was up top.

Cindy, thank you for the reply.

I do see the seal, but the address bar doesn't have the "https", so my dh will not let me order.

What does the https have to do with it? Just curious.

I could have sworn that Adam said it went to https when you made the purchase. You specifically asked him about it.

Yup...most merchants display the "https" on any page including any sensitive info, including CC#. Some of the "as seen on TV merchants do have it (I checked) but some do not, unfortunately. I always check before making a purchase online.

I may be totally wrong in this, but from what I have always understood, just because a company "says" it is secure, that doesn't mean it is...you need to look for the "s" after the "http" in the address bar to make sure that the site really is using a secure server. That being said, I know this does not give 100% security either, and you always have to exercise caution when doing anything over the internet.

The issue I have is that the merchant asks you to enter your cc# on the page without the "s".

I'm sorry to dwell on this issue, but it seems that I can't be the only one who is reluctant to make a purchase through a merchant who may or may not be secure. While I am 100% positive that SR would not knowingly promote something with questionable security (thank you for that!:)), I'm just thinking you may have even more people ordering knowing with more certainty.

If you feel I have overstepped here Tricia, Cindy or Angie...please feel free to delete this post, or the entire thread if need be...I love SR, and I don't want to decrease your sales, just wanted to bring up a concern.

Thanks!:)

Unfortunately, when it comes to the OFFERS for As Seen on TV products, our choices are very limited. But you can get the Snuggie from some of the regular merchants so that it is a shopping purchase rather than an offer. Those are almost always secure. (like Carol Wright Gifts and Miles Kimball)

You certainly have every right to feel the way you do, however, I would like to make it clear that I use a credit card online everyday, hundreds of times a month, and even with the As Seen On Tv products and I have never had an issue with security, however, I can tell you this, that handing your CC to someone in a restaurant or store is far more scary then purchasing online now adays with all the precautions being taken. It takes about 5 seconds for an employee to take a pic of both sides of your credit card to use online or even to make a fake one (yes, that happens too).

As for the secure seal, that is one that has to be purchased and certain stipulations followed and is assigned an ID and I don't think a company as big as the ones we carry on SR would just be faking a secure seal.

I have however expressed your concern to the As Seen On Tv merchant to see what they say, just out of curiosity.

ETA, I just heard back from the merchant and he assures me that he pays for the security for all the As Seen On Tv products checkout and he will make sure that the proper "s" is added to the url.

I totally agree on the idea of using a CC in a restaurant. I know this kind of ID theft is multiplying like crazy!

Thank you for checking on this. I am sorry to give you extra work to do. You guys are really great and I do really thank you for looking into this!:)
