HELP! I just registered at eBay and I want to place a bid. I've gotten my confirmation email and have activated my account. If I place my bid through the link in the activation email, will I get SR credit? Or do I need to close that window, go back through the SR link and sign in again. I really want to make sure I do this right so I get credit!!! Can anyone help?

To be on the safe side, go back through SR again.

Sorry, but I'm still confused....

I used the SR link to register. Once you register you can only go to your activation email. So in order to go back through SR, I have to close all my windows and start from scratch....I can't continue on through the original window I opened at SR. Does that make sense? I just don't want to mess this up.

I placed an order thru ebay and had registered a long time ago but went thru the SR link and it credited. I think after you register and confirm, you set up your acct, etc. Once that is done, you should be able to go thru SR and place an order.

Once you have clicked on the email to activate your acct. I would log out of ebay, go to SR, click on the ebay link, and then...look for your item.

But will I get the 9.00 for registering and placing a bid if I don't do it all at the same time????

Sorry I'm being such a pain!

So we do get credits for ebay purchases even if we are NOT a new member? As long as we go thru the SR link of course.....just making sure

Well, I got credit for purchases made with my new account that ebay refused to admit was an account created through SR. So that doesn't totally answer your question specifically, but I'd say "probably yes" to your question. :)

I've still been wondering all day if I did this right..... Oh well...it's only 9.00, it's only 9.00...I'll just keep telling myself that!

DH got an ebay acct through our SR account, and he remembers it took something like 3 days for the credit to appear. It's an offer, though, so it'll credit hold for a good long time! DH joined 7/12, and the credit started pending on the 16th, so we'll have waited a full month when it finalizes on the 15th.

zoiks!

You can get 1% back for shopping on ebay through SR and it works whether you are a new member or not. The extra bonus only works for new members though.

We just initiated a new EBAY account through SR and made several bids lost them all...lol> Do we have to send anything to confirm our new Ebay account to SR or does it do it all on it's own? Much Thanks

So, you placed your first bid through your confirmation e-mail and not the SR link and you got credit???

I just signed up for e-bay and didn't even think about the first bid. I just went through the confirmation e-mail and then realized right after I placed my bid that it wasn't through the SR link. I really hope this credits.
