Just wondering...
With the Sunshine Big Board going on hiatus, will we still be able to see our monthly totals somewhere...maybe in our current earnings page?

Thanks

I agree. Even though I don't often appear anywhere on the Big Board, I use it to figure out my monthly total. It would be really neat if there was a place that would continue to provide that info, just because I'm nosey....:D

yes, i'd like that too - maybe it could be fixed up on the current earnings page?

That's too bad. I always use the Big Board for inspiration to get busy and earn some :sunshine:

I never really used the big board. I think that probably there are a few people who are always there and then the majority of Sunshiners never even get close to the top 10. Not much of an incentive if you aren't even close. I made it once and it was COOL but I can see why they may take a hiatus for awhile.

For me this is a big bummer. The Big Board is definitely an incentive for me. I usually end up on it about twice a year. I try to concentrate my big purchases during the same month so I can get on the board. And then that month (like this month) I do every thing I can (surveys, freebies) to get stay on the board and earn more. There definitely has been a drop in incentives (Disney cashouts, Big Board, etc.) that were incentives for me and which I really miss. :(

true - some seem always to be on there - and some like me only make it once in a blue moon! guess since i have hardly made it, i may not really miss it.:)

The biggest problem with the big board is that it is hundreds of dollars a month in prizes that generally go to the same 15 members throughout the year. So when we looked at the feedback that we were getting (which was that people wanted more contests and prizes), it made sense to move money from something that didn't impact many people to something that would impact all 12,000 people. The economy is hitting rewards sites hard (merchants are going out of business without paying commissions, companies don't want to pay for surveys, and postage keeps going up). But we at SR are committed to being innovative and finding ways to keep everyone winning and motivated. Some things will be more popular than others.

I understand that you need to make decisions that are best for your business, but I for one will miss the big board. The contests are fun extras but the prizes don't motivate me... the possibility of getting on the big board and earning that extra bonus for Disney did. :(

I agree Shelly, completely understand it from a business standpoint. No one can argue with that. The big board was the recognition of the SR's who strived to utilize SR and earn as much as possible for them and SR in any one month. I too like the contests and enter 95% of them, to have fun and a chance, but it's a bummer when you don't win any of them. I undertand it's all "by chance" and I'm not complaining, but the big board was something to "work" towards.

I understand what you are saying - I did try some months more than others, when I saw I really had a chance. But most months there was no way I could keep up with the bigger earners/spenders even tho I tried doing as many surveys/offers, etc. as possible. No point in shopping shopping shopping just to be on the Big Board. And not meaning to point at anyone in particular, but it began to feel discouraging in a way to be an active dedicated member yet still see some of the same people getting the big board money every month. Something that opens it up so more have a chance is nice. -- Altho as far as contests go, I haven't been too lucky. :p I think I won a christmas countdown once! But if there's more contests, etc., bigger prizes, I will certainly try - gotta win sometime!

:thanks: I for one appreciate the fact that you are committed to being innovative and always finding new ways to keep everyone happy. I've been lucky to have made it to the big board 6 times since July 2007 and while it was fun to see my name up there, I agree that it has been really difficult in the past several months to even get close to what people are earning....I remember when you reached the big board around $50, now you need to hit in the hundreds to make it on there. Whatever needs to be done to have SR around for a long time...I'm all for it!!!!

I am up for whatever works for SR. I may not be lucky at contest, but I have fun trying..........and who knows what other fun stuff SR will bring our way.

Thanks for all the hardwork and I understand trying new things so everyone has a chance....

Sounds fun and exciting - I am always up for trying something new. The few times I have made the big board, it was exciting to see my name up there but I can understand where Tricia is coming from also. Lets see what March brings.

Tricia -

Thank you for looking for ways to make it better all around for all of us. I am sure that you will be trying to put in contests as you say for everyone that as some stated are something to "work towards". You guys do a great job!

I always wondered what - exactly - the people always on the big board were doing!!! I'd love to take a peek at their account hstory. No way I could ever make money like that. Closest I came was January when I booked a vacation package throught SWV - but then I went on vacation and didn't Sunshine for a week!

I was always amazed what what people could make on SR, I thought that was great! Totally understand why you can't payout anymore though...sorry guys, never impacted me, but I do love to see my #s!! As small as they are!!
