We are all wearing our green. The boys even made St. Patrick's Day necklaces. And the ham and potatoes are ready to cook for dinner.

The kids were excited to put on their St. Patty's day shirts and socks this morning! DS has a green tee that says "This be me lucky shirt" with a big shamrock on the front. DD has a tee with a shamrock on the front and a "Do Not Pinch" sign on the back with Shamrock socks. It is warm here today so I let her where a pair of blue jean capris. She came downstairs this morning with the socks pulled all the way up to the bottom of the pants. I cracked up laughing! She asked what the problem was--I asked her if she was going for the full Leprechaun look. :rotfl:

I'll take a picture of her when she gets home so that you can see what I mean. Too funny!

DH wore a teal shirt today claiming it would be close enough and if not, he had on green underwear that he was more than willing to show off if needed, LOL!

Happy St. Patrick's Day to all of you! May you find gold at the end of your rainbow today.

I have my green on, too! Just three years ago, today, DH and I were leaving for a tour of Ireland. Just as I was thinking about it, I got an e-mail from someone who was on the tour with us. Oh, I SO want to go back!

DD wore her green shirt with the green care bear on it (it has a shamrock on its belly) that says "Lucky Me". I saw a boy walking into her school this morning wearing a bright, green, poufy wig-he really stood out, lol.

The girls had their Green shirts on today, but DD5 is saving her good one for tomorrow in pre-school. Her teacher is from Ireland and really goes all out with the kids and has been since March 1st. When DS had her 6 yrs ago it used to be really tough to understand her, her accent was so thick but it has gotten better. The past 2 wks her class has had a family competition on who could build the best leprechan trap to catch Sneaky the classroom Leprechan! We built one with the help of DS 2 wks ago on our snow day and the kids are having a blast each day they get to class. So besides celebrating the holiday as a family DD5 has been non stop about Sneaky and all the traps they have set. Tomorrow is when the real celebration for her class kicks in so I'll still be hearing about it for at least another day! I should take a picture of her classroom you can't even get through the door without passing through a sea of bright green.

Happy St. Paddy's Day Everyone!! Hope all the Irish luck comes your way!

After I left work today, I stopped by the restaurant that I worked at for 22 years and picked up some Corned Beef, carrots, potatoes and Irish soda bread and it was YUMMY!! I had to eat alone, cause my little Irish darlin', Mollie Meaghan went off to South Boston to raise a few Guinness's with some friends!!
(I just wonder how she'll feel in the mornin'?!! )

I got a nasty, had to leave school case of mono right after I turned 21. I had a doctor's appointment on March 18. My doctor said "You're not drinking, right?" "I had an Irish coffee last night. Oops." "That could really mess with your liver." Mom and I "Um.....it was a religious holiday.." :D:rotfl:
